🚨 Consumer Warning – Dyer Chevrolet Lake Wales 🚨 On April 15, 2025, I purchased a Cadillac Escalade from this dealership. Imagine paying thousands in loan payments, insurance, dealer fees, and taxes — only to find out your dream vehicle was never yours to begin with. That’s what happened here. The General Manager himself promised me in writing a complete reversal of the deal and a replacement Escalade. Instead, the dealership stalled, broke its own deadlines, blocked me on social media, and then tried to backtrack and lowball me. This isn’t just one bad deal — there are multiple complaints across Dyer dealerships for broken promises and poor practices. The dealership’s own General Manager promised me in writing a complete reversal of the deal and a replacement Escalade. There are multiple public complaints across the Dyer group of dealerships about broken promises, poor practices, and lack of accountability. The dealership admitted responsibility and, in writing, promised me: • To cancel the loan and reimburse all my payments, insurance, fees, taxes, and costs. • To provide me with a replacement Escalade at no cost. What actually happened? They broke every promise. • Missed their own deadlines. • Tried to lowball me with partial offers. • Twisted the word “replacement” into forcing me into a new loan. • Blocked me on two different Facebook accounts to hide the truth. • Then went silent. Frustrating place to go. Bought two vehicles here and have no complaints there. Got an extended warranty on my Silverado that I bought new. After service went to get fuel down the road at Gate and had visibly loose lug nuts after rotation was done. A year or so later I decided to give them another try and it got much worse. I called and spoke to the service supervisor who scheduled me for oil, tire rotation, tranny service, new spark plugs, and I specifically requested a multipoint inspection to stay ahead of needed repairs and to keep my warranty up to date with preventative maintenance. I came in the morning scheduled and they had no appointment or any knowledge I would be there. That’s concerning but I left it with them and said I’d pick it up Monday. Came in Monday and noticed the truck wasn’t washed with this $1275 service I paid for (every oil change and tire rotation previously they was the exterior). I think, oh well no biggie, I pay and get a receipt of payment and no other information. I asked the gentleman if there’s any issues found and he says no your good for another 100k miles and I go home. I’m at home and noticed the dust and dirt on tires and rims look like that weren’t touched. I investigated further and I knew I had a front right scratched rim, that I curbed. It was still on the front right. No rotation was done. I went back to service department to see what they have to say and request a multipoint inspection results and they have none and said it should have come with receipt, well it was never done. I know I had signs of an oil leak, brake pads need changed, but not a peep from this service department. Unorganized, unprofessional to say the least. I hate that I bought a warranty from this dealer because I do not want their shop touching my vehicle again. They are just full of excuses when questioned. I started having problems the minute I drove it off the lot. They sold me a xx plan where they told me I can drive it through their scanner and it would pick up anything that was wrong with it. They told me the only issue they saw was some rust. again, they lied. I took it to my mechanic. The truck’s air filter was super dirty, and the valve cover gaskets were leaking on the passenger side. How did that pass their inspection? The only answer is, they are liars. They’ll do whatever it takes to sell a vehicle, even if it means taking advantage of people. I will never buy from here again. I’m Supposed to have oil changes and roadside assistance with them, they sold me a bunch of lies. I’m so disappointed. More
