Senior Blimdsided By Dealer! After hitting the truck tire on the 91Fwywith my 2005 CTS. I managed to drive my car to Dutton Cadillac in Riverside for repair. They diagnosed the da After hitting the truck tire on the 91Fwywith my 2005 CTS. I managed to drive my car to Dutton Cadillac in Riverside for repair. They diagnosed the damaged coolant system and replaced the water pump and radiator. Cost to me $2195 and as a senior living on a fixed income it was hard to come by. Drove the car home and added an extra 23 miles during the 18 days after. On the 19thday a warning light appeared on the dashboard to “check coolant level”. Took the car to a local Cadillac dealer who thoroughly checked it out for several days and determined the car had a BLOWN HEAD GASKET. They said it occurred during the accident and the coolant leaked into the engine. The ins. company totaled out the car. I went back to Dutton to get a REFUND for my $2195 since THEY should had diagnosed the REAL PROBLEM initially, as I would NOT have repaired the water pump and radiator. I wrote a letter to Woody Dutton the owner, who summarily passed it along to customer service, who passed it along to GM, who said in effect FORGET IT, NO refund! As of this time I will be bumping it up to GM in Mich. Buyer Beware at Dutton! More

New Car experience ruined in less than 30 days I am updating my review. I purchased my vehicle on 12/26/19 - it had a piece that needed to be fixed and I was told at the time service would fix it n I am updating my review. I purchased my vehicle on 12/26/19 - it had a piece that needed to be fixed and I was told at the time service would fix it no problem it was in the evening so they were closed. The next day I sent an email to follow up on scheduling when to take my car in - and was told after the first. So I sent an email later new years week and after sending pictures and back and forth for another week, it was agreed that I would take the car in 1/20 since I am off that day and they didnt have any Saturday appointments. Today is 1/17 my car started making a vibration noise so I asked if it would be better to take my car in today - now I'm being told they would have to order the part but I have to take the car in for them to see which part it is (I sent pictures mind you, this is a Cadillac dealer, why they cant go look inside another Cadillac to see the part # and ordered it already idk) and so it was recommended that I take it to a dealer closer since theres a vibration and that the piece I needed fixed is covered under warranty. I live about 30-45 mins away and choose this dealer because they had the car I wanted and they were super at the time of purchase but now I'm so frustrated - I waited all these weeks, wasted time and regret giving them my business if this is how complicated it's going to be for service in the future just to be thrown to another dealer. More
