Take negative reviews as absolute true. I purchased a car from them out of state. It has been a month and I still don't have the title in order to register the car in my state. They refuse I purchased a car from them out of state. It has been a month and I still don't have the title in order to register the car in my state. They refuse to give me a temp tag as well. I have an expensive car sitting in my driveway that I can't drive. I'll be making my 1st payment before I get to drive the car. Reached out to find why it taking so long, and they informed me that they just requested from CA DMV for the title. It's been 4 weeks and their just now requesting the title. They wouldn't explain why they waited so long or offered any apology or solution. Bottom line, once they get their money, then they can careless about anything else. I've bought cars from out of state multiple times and I've never received such poor sales interaction. Even the process to buy was met with horrible communication and lack of follow up. Many of my requests during the sales process was pretty much ignored or giving some excuse as to why they didn't do something. The only reason why I proceeded despite all the red flags, was because they had the use car (Audi S7) I've been trying to find for 9 months. Otherwise, I wouldn't buy a car from them if they were the last car dealership on earth. More
express my concern regarding an issue with the recent purchase of a vehicle from the Dublin VW Dealership. Unfortunately, there were discrepancies in our contract. Despite our explicit instruction to purchase of a vehicle from the Dublin VW Dealership. Unfortunately, there were discrepancies in our contract. Despite our explicit instruction to the Finance Manager, a service was added to our contract without our consent. We were subsequently informed that a refund check would be processed for this oversight. However, to date, we have not received any refund or clarification. I have previously left a message for your GSM and also reached out to Volkswagen for support in addressing this matter. I am eager to have this matter resolved promptly and appreciate your immediate attention to this concern. More
Definitely wouldn’t recommend going here. I was adamant about buying a car there and was prequalified already. I spoke to the sales rep Emily who said she will make sure that everything is processed quickl about buying a car there and was prequalified already. I spoke to the sales rep Emily who said she will make sure that everything is processed quickly and the following day. This was on a Tuesday and I called back Wednesday because I didn’t hear from her and then found out she’s out till Friday. So then I got transferred to another sales rep and told them that I’m already prequalified and would like to come test drive the car. They ignored everything I said and then ran my credit through their own financing which gave me a hard inquiry on my credit report and then never got back to me again and then I had to follow up again Thursday afternoon and make it clear that I’m pre approved already. They said they will call me back but never did. Friday came around. I called again and finally got transferred to the finance manager. He called the bank and called me back and said I’m approved, at this point the bank also ran my credit and put another hard inquiry on my credit report. He said I’m approved. I said I’m ready to move forward and he said he will get back to me. By this time it was Saturday. He said he would call the bank and get right back to me but never did. I reached out to him on Sunday and then he told me the car has been sold. So I went through this whole process only for everything to be delayed, when I was already approved. Also received two new hard inquiries on my credit report and never even received the car. Such xxxxty service. Nobody was on top of anything. For some reason they wouldn’t take my approval. They only wanted to finance through their own bank and because of this they put another hard inquiry on my credit report that I never agreed to. I definitely wouldn’t recommend shopping here. More
Extremely bad experience with this dealership, who lacks customer service and respect for customers. The GM, Omar is a clueless guy and does not have any consideration for a customer. They double charged me customer service and respect for customers. The GM, Omar is a clueless guy and does not have any consideration for a customer. They double charged me on lease down-payment. After two months and bounding from one person to another person, the issue is still open. Do not trust these people. Go somewhere else and don't give them you credit card number. Very untrustworthy people. More
Horrible purchasing experience & false photo advertisement My husband and I had a pretty bad experience during the purchasing process. I was offended by the sales person coming back from seeing my car and him My husband and I had a pretty bad experience during the purchasing process. I was offended by the sales person coming back from seeing my car and him making an inappropriate comment about it. They low balled our Corolla for the trade-in (lower than the Kelly blue book price range) and had to fight hard with them for a higher trade-in value. Instead of matching or giving us a better trade-in, they denied the trade-in offer printout that we got from VW Oakland. The sales person said it doesn't count because it's not an official trade-in offer. They wrote down the interest percentage on a piece of paper before even checking my credit. It wasn't until we demanded printed documents did we see anything more official. We lost trust in the VW sales person and were on high alert the rest of the purchasing process. It was uncomfortable and we only went through with this because it was a relatively good deal for the CPO Tiguan we were purchasing. A few things to note when going to this dealership: They do not give you a full tank of gas for any CPO cars and do not trust what is shown in photos on their CPO cars. The Tiguan we bought had a privacy cover shown in the images and video clip. We already lack trust in VW through the experience we had at the dealership, so I took screenshots before they took down the advertisement in case they denied that it was in the car. I know that this is my car because of the defect on the screen that had the same URL. Indeed, the dealership denied that it was included in the car and claimed that their photographer placed it in there to show customers what accessories could be available for the car. I told them that this was false advertisement. I was told that I had to ask if certain things in the pictures are included even if they're shown in the photo. Do I have to ask about everything in the photo if they are included? Weeks of countless messages were sent to VW on facebook and calls with the VW Dublin dealership sales people and VW customer care. At the very end, we escalated this to a VW case manager. In the end, we were given a $100 gift card which wasn't even enough to cover the privacy cover ($180) and the emotional trauma but we didn't want to waste more time on this. The main point of this review is to warn future VW buyers. Beware that you won't be getting service at the Dublin VW that you'll get at other dealerships (such as Toyota, Honda, Ford and Mazda) and also be sure to ask if certain things in the photos are included because Dublin VW CPO car advertisement photos can be misleading and doesn't come with the things they display on their images. SHORT VERSION OF THE REVIEW: STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS. HORRIBLE AND SHADY EXPERIENCE, RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS LONG VERSION: Have you ever heard horror sto AT ALL COSTS. HORRIBLE AND SHADY EXPERIENCE, RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS LONG VERSION: Have you ever heard horror stories about shady dealers and horrible car buying experience? If you want to experience it for yourself come and see VW of Dublin. Internet sales have been around for many years and are now a fairly common part of the car buying experience. My initial experience with VW of Dublin started off like all other experiences. I requested a quote on a particular car through their web site and negotiated a deal over the internet/email. I confirmed the deal over the phone. Their quote was one of the better quotes that I received. This is where all the positives end. I had confirmed that I will be arriving at the dealership an hour before the scheduled time. I arrived at the dealership at the scheduled time to see the 'internet sales manager' Emily. She wasn't prepared to see me or sell the car. The car we were discussing the evening before was 'magically' sold, I believe she mentioned it got sold a few days ago and wasn't updated in the system, she said it wasn't her fault. Emily didn't bother checking to see if the car was available the morning of my arrival when she texted me a reminder and didn't bother letting me know that the car was sold when we were discussing that particular stock number the night before. I texted her a link to the car we were discussing When she started looking for a car, 15 minutes later she brought out a white vehicle and the car we had discussed was supposed to be grey. When I said that the color is a deal-breaker and it's not the car we were discussing this whole time, she proceeded to give me an attitude and asked if the color makes a huge difference..........at this point I was speechless and began walking away. She began raising her voice saying come back inside and we can figure this out. At this point, I was curious about the next step and how dysfunctional and poorly run this dealership is and wanted to see how much more they can screw up Emily came back with a piece of paper and wanted to confirm the #s negotiated and wanted to run numbers again with her manager. She also wanted me to fill out a credit application on the car that was stored in their warehouse without getting the lease figures confirmed. I asked what happened to the deal we had negotiated and she confirmed over the phone. She couldn't give me a solid answer and I said goodbye and went outside Emily's manager runs after me as I'm outside and asking why I'm leaving. I expressed my disappointment with what had just transpired. He did admit that they dropped the ball and should have told me that the car I was after wasn't available. He offered to bring a car from Benicia and I explained to him that I have no confidence in them getting it right. He wasn't overly pushy but he clearly failed to understand that they lost me as a customer and further persuading wasn't nessesary. I told him that I will be getting a car from another dealer. Two hours later I signed a lease deal on the car/color combo I wanted from another dealer. I got great service and a great deal on the car from VW dealer in Walnut Creek More
I am so mind blown at our experience.I have been a loyal I am so mind blown at our experience. I have been a loyal customer of VW Dublin for 7 years, bringing in our Jetta for maintenance. It's time to upgr I am so mind blown at our experience. I have been a loyal customer of VW Dublin for 7 years, bringing in our Jetta for maintenance. It's time to upgrade to an SUV, and we noticed after doing our own research that they had the exact model/color/drivetrain we are looking for, even though they told us they didn't have it. It didn't show up in their system but then I found it listed on auto trader. It was being used as a service loaner for the past year. They said it would take about 4 days to get us an exact price on it. We told them our exact budget and said, "If you can't do that price, just let us know and we'll keep looking". We got strung along for 2 weeks. No communication whatsoever. It took me calling them every other day asking for an update. I spoke to a total of 4 different people during this process, including the GM Omar. It was amazing that each sales person as well as the GM giving me a different story every time I finally tracked one of them down. We finally were given an exact price, by Ray, 2 days ago and we said "okay.. we have waited so long and put so much energy and effort into this car so even though it's over our budget, we will take it". He said "If its not one thing, it's another right? Only problem is the keys are locked in the car so you can't come get it for 2 days." We said "No problem. At this point, whats 2 more days?" Despite our super frustrating experience with them, I really feel that we have remained so calm and understanding. Until today.. I call right before coming to FINALLY purchase this car, to confirm the price before getting a cashiers check. What do you know? The price went up.. and they play dumb about it! They refuse to honor the price they promised 2 days prior, refuse to take accountability for how shady and absolutely frustrating and horrible of an experience this was for us and we are completely turned off. I had to ask for an apology. All done so calmly on my end. Their responses to me showed they could not care less about what happened. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time or your money on people who don't care about you. Shadiness to a T. More
