Before I purchased the vehicle I expressed my concerns over the reviews about people constantly complaining about not receiving a license plate for the car and temp tag expiring. The gentleman told me so k over the reviews about people constantly complaining about not receiving a license plate for the car and temp tag expiring. The gentleman told me so kindly “don’t worry you won’t run into that issue ,people with good experiences typically don’t leave reviews” Then the vehicle was delivered and I expressed concerns over the temp tags again and was told “if you don’t receive your license plate by the expiration date we’ll just issue you a new one”. Throughout this process I’ve had to have paper filled out and notarized multiple times which is not discussed prior to signing up which has been a huge inconvenience and today my temp tag expires and I am now being told I can not be issued a new temp tag I have to wait for the dmv to send it whenever they do.I was also told “you can drive the vehicle if you get any tickets just pay them and we’ll reimburse you” smfh this has been a nightmare please trust your gut when you see all the bad reviews . I made a down payment on a car, and they sold it to someone else! On top of that they wouldn't refund my down payment ($2,200). Had to reach out to my bank to dispute the charges. I don't know when, someone else! On top of that they wouldn't refund my down payment ($2,200). Had to reach out to my bank to dispute the charges. I feel swindled. I thought I finally found the car that I want it. I am disabled so it’s hard to find a car that fits my needs perfectly and in my price point. I foun I thought I finally found the car that I want it. I am disabled so it’s hard to find a car that fits my needs perfectly and in my price point. I found the car started the process I will have to get it modified for my disability so price point is very important to me when I saw the price with the fees I specifically asked the person helping me with the purchase. I was told the price that I saw is exactly what I will pay. I’ll let the person know if the price change I can’t buy the car it’s going to cost me almost $2000 to get the modifications done after purchase so I need to be strict with my purchase point. This is why that was specifically the first question I asked, and the response was the price I see will be the price I pay. I submit everything I need to submit send in my $500 down payment and then I get a proposal sent to my email and the price increased by almost $2000. That was definitely not the price I saw, and was told that I would be paying. After receiving the proposal, I said I can no longer afford the vehicle, especially because of the deception and I am still waiting for my refund of my deposit. I have called and left a message and I have also texted the supposed manager, and all have been unanswered, and I do not have my money back. if the price I saw like I was told, what’s the price I would have purchased, with no problem. The solution offered wasn’t to honor the price then it was for them to tell me to find another car. The lack of communication is also a problem. There was no problem texting me when I was processing the purchase before everything went South now I can’t even get a response just to let me know update on my refund. I was hoping for a good experience, so I can finally get back to driving after seven years of been disabled. More
I have to admit it was a very bumpy ride at first. (I ALSO HAD NOT SEEN THESE REVIEWS - I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!) I was traveling a ton overseas, and as Driveway being a start-up, things were (I ALSO HAD NOT SEEN THESE REVIEWS - I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!) I was traveling a ton overseas, and as Driveway being a start-up, things were not as smooth as I had hoped for. After a bit of trial and error (quite the nightmare), I was somehow connected to a Sr. level person within the company, Amey A. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND to rectify the situation. Corporate got involved, they listened, and because of her professionalism, care, and diligence, I finally put plates on my new SUV today. I would say to do your homework, stay of top of everything, and stay the course. I think my deal may help all moving forward on future transactions, as it will definitely be added to the training matrix! Again, a HUGE shout out to Amey. She deserves to be C-Level Executive after this! (TEXAS SUV coming from CA location, 2 trips to DMV for temp tags, 3 trips to get Notary, CA nightmare CONTRACT, Customer Service nightmare - but AMEY is the only reason it worked out and I did not hire an attorney - $41k cash deal which should have been easy - bought 12/29/22, received 1/17/23, finally plates and tags 3/23/23) More

For example was told that contracting would be in 24 to 48 hours, but turned out closer to 1 week. Also got called today that my car will be delivered in 1.5 hours and that driver was leaving right away. I asked repeatedly yes I can be present but can only be present for 1 hour so even if you are one 1 hour late it’s ok but beyond that I have to get back to work. She oh no it only takes me 1.5 hours and I will leave right now. 2 hours later I called no one picked up. I had to return to work. The trip home was unnecessary. The entire process is just so unprofessional and so unpleasant. If possible would like to cancel contract if that's ok. I will just go with caravana or vroom. "Driveway completes all of the registration paperwork for your purchase, and this can be a rather lengthy and anxiety-producing process." When I wrote this in an otherwise fairly optimistic review on another your purchase, and this can be a rather lengthy and anxiety-producing process." When I wrote this in an otherwise fairly optimistic review on another website, I had no idea what I was in for. It has now been 2 months since the transaction and the car was delivered, and the registration is nowhere in sight. Even so, there is no communication from the company unless you reach out to them when your temporary tag is in danger of expiring. My second temp tag expires in less than a week. I have now called twice and spoken to a different person each time. Today I heard that there was a problem in the process, and they have to petition the FL DMV for a duplicate title. Did they lose the title paperwork? Did the care they sold me not have a valid title? Of course there is no other information about this that the customer service agent can provide. There is no ETA when this duplicate title will be obtained. I was assured on the phone that they were working to get me a third temporary tag, but they have to get permission from the state for this as well. There is no guarantee this temp tag will arrive to me before the current one expires on Tuesday. This is an absolute nightmare. Their workflows obviously do not work, and their business model is atrocious. You can never speak to the same person twice once you get to the registration part of the process, and the agent you do talk to can only put a note into your account indicating your issue. They have no power to do anything to help. They don't connect you with anyone who can. Look at any review website and you will see the same problem happening to nearly every customer. I wish I had noticed them before making my purchase. This is very similar to the issue that has come out about Carvana. I see a similar class action lawsuit in Driveway's future. More
