After visiting a couple of the typical used car buyer mega stores and leaving sorely disappointed and dismissed by their unprofessional CLERKS, I stumble across Driveway.com. From the minute I requested a quote to purchase my card to the moment they came to pick them up was a seamless and positive experience. I dealt with the original contact until the sent paperwork for signatures, then I was transferred to the documentation person. Yes, one person with name and direct number. After that one final transfer to the actual person that schedule the pick up and once here she had the money in transfer before leaving my home. They have the right idea and have a mastered the implementation for the benefit of us, the consumer. It’s a shame so many outfits still have the used car salesman approach to the business so many years later. More

Everything you have seen in these reviews about ineptitude regarding registration is correct. I purchased a car in March and we’re coming up to the end of May and they still have not completed the registration. They’re telling me the estimate is 4-5 weeks f now. I have been told that this is just how long DMVs take to complete registrations which is completely absurd. I now am making payments and paying for insurance on a car I cannot drive since I have already gotten the max of two temporary tags. I was advised that I could try to go to the DMV in my state and ask for a temporary tag, which makes no sense as they have all of the paperwork. Only go through driveway if paying a bit less is worth months of hassle to you. More

Professional well trained staff, with excellent customer service skills From my recent experience and after i read most of the ratings and comments, this company must be rated a 5 star I sold them my service skills From my recent experience and after i read most of the ratings and comments, this company must be rated a 5 star I sold them my SUV, It was a process and 3 steps: . First step: take pictures of ur vehicle and make the deal, needs 1-2 business days . Second step: wait 1-2 business days to receive paper work, make sure u call the number they provide so u dont do any mistake( its a direct line no wait no machines) , Then send them back using the envelope they provide ( and yes they already pay for it) thats also 1-2 business days. . Third step: you will get a call to schedule pickup for the vehicle, and in this time if u have negative equity u must pay before pick up, or if u have positive equity u will be paid after the towing truck pull the vehicle on the truck and confirm the pickup( don’t worry they will not leave until u get paid or say that they can leave) I had a loan still on my SUV they told me 10-20 business days, it was all paid in 7 business days. The only thing i wish they did, is that on the first call some one explained in details every step before we started , they did but for me i wish if they took more time. And yes they did pay top $$$$ for my SUV and thats why i sold it. More
My experience in finding a car with driveway was extremely easy and mari was great from start to finish that I actually bought a 2nd car a for my wife a couple of days later. Started a deal to trade in my car on April 27 submitted all paper work. No contact from Driveway so on may 2nd I contacted in chat to ask where the process was. Agent in chat said it was assigned to a rep to contact me. I let them know I was not interested in trading in only to sell they stated they updated my file. Two days later I got a call from an agent wanting my 1000$ down on the car I looked at. I let them know I was only selling my car and not interested in a trade. They said they would update my file and would have to send it to someone else because they only handle trades. May 8th still no updates so I chat in again and agent tells me they have all my paper work and still working on it. I let them know the offer said it would expire soon. The agent sends me an email stating despite offer expiring soon I had already done all the submission so my offer was still good and someone would contact me very soon. May 13th still no one so I chat in again and the agent told me that it was assigned to someone but they had not done anything with it so they would assign it to someone new or I could call. I called and spoke with an agent who said they would own the deal however my offer expired and would have to re-submit it. The agent first advised the offer went up 200$ but then when I questioned their website showing me the new offer was $1000 lower they stated they put in wrong zipcode and that indeed the offer was now $1000 lower. The agent reached out to a manager that advised they would not honor the offer I got when I started this 3 weeks ago and that the new lower offer was what they had to with. I explained that this is 100% the fault of their company and poor process because I have done everything they asked and had to be the one who contacts every few days to get more excuses. The agent went back to check with manager and the call was having issues when they called back so I called them back and got another agent. I explained to the agent that I had just spoke with someone and needed to get back to them. They said they would look up my deal and see where we were at. They told me the trade I was trading for had sold and I explained that this was very old info and that I had this as a sale only and needed to speak with the agent currently working on my file. The agent said oh sorry I see its a sale we have your offer and are overnighting your paper work to have the car picked up. I let the agent know that this was all false info as we have a problem with the sale price and the agent finally transfers me back to the agent I spoke with. That agent apologized and told me that they were denied again on honoring the sale value I was originally agreed to. Unfortunately all the reviews about them not being responsive or on top of things are 100% true. If I didn't constantly contact them then they would have never even attempted to complete the deal. When pressed with their own lack of customer service the agent was apologetic but the company is just very poorly run. Back to Vroom where at-least they contact you without having to constantly check on them to see if they are actually servicing you. More

The first time I was lied to by the agent and my refund was held hostage, basically until employee that actually care about customer satisfaction stepped in. But I thought I’d give them a second chance and it was an isolated incident possibly but the second time everything with them went well until the very end the car that I purchased did not work I did all the paperwork with driveway sent the money as requested but when the deal was canceled, because the vehicle didn’t work, I felt like I was left to figure it out myself which I pretty much did. That one employee did try to help out and said he would keep watch on it but several days went by and I got no response back from him when he finally did respond I already got my refund back by constantly calling the dealership and he explained he had other obligations, which was OK, but it would’ve been nice to know before I was left for several days. Your experience with them may be completely different, but I tried twice and there’s no going back for me. More
