If I could rate this company -100 starts I would. I am getting the run around with my car. Nobody can tell me where my plates are and than someone named Frieda jones was so rude and disrespectful. Every step of the way I had to call no one communicated anything. Do not use this company, it will take forever for you to get your car. More

This was my first time using Driveway. They purchased my 2022 Toyota Tundra at a very fair price (better than Carvana and Vroom). Two friendly drivers (Hi Tim and Dillon) came to my house as scheduled and my funds were in my bank account within minutes. I even received a follow-up phone call from their satisfaction department (Hi Eli) to see how everything went and if I felt they could improve upon anything, which I truthfully answered with a NO. Being able to purchase a vehicle from my couch was amazing and less time consuming then dealing with a dealership. I can't stress this enough. ... DO NOT buy from them. They have no idea what they are doing and it will be the most stressful car buying experience you will ever have. The com ... I never knew where things were at in the buying process and getting someone to reply to an email/text message was difficult. Plus, having a car I had chosen become unavailable after I had put a deposit down was disappointing, what’s the point of a deposit if it’s not actually holding the vehicle? Over all, they have a good inventory of vehicles so you will be able to find something you like, but just go into with the understanding that communication isn’t going to easy. It would be helpful if Driveway gave a one pager on what to expect during the purchasing process and a general timeline. Update: Didn't think my experience could get worse, but it did. After posting my original review on Trust Pilot I received a call from Driveway saying they wanted to improve my experience and their goal was to change my review from a 3 star to 5 star. Well, it had the opposite effect and their lack of communication is the worst thing about them. I received my car with the temp tags on 2/21/23 and the temp plates were good until 3/16/23 so that seems like plenty of time for them to submit my DMV paperwork, right? Nope, they didn't actually submit the paperwork until 3/17/23 so I was left with expired plates and not able to drive my new car. It was incredibility difficult to get in contact with anyone from Driveway to get the issue resolved. They eventually helped me with a rental car which I appreciate, but it is unacceptable that it took a month for them to touch the DMV paperwork and then say I was out of luck when they would only supply a rental car for a limited amount of time and after that I was left with no car to drive or choose to drive the car with expired plates and risk getting pulled over. I was working with DMV team and they suggested I visit my local office to see about getting a temp tag, but that didn't pan out when I went there, Thankfully the DMV team at Driveway was able to expedite my paperwork and overnighted the plate to me which I greatly appreciate. The only employees that were actually helpful were Marina and Laura with the DMV team and helped me out in a pitch. In addition to all the issues I outlined above, they failed to fill out the New Jersey Tax paperwork and wanted my social security information in order to process, I provided the required information on 2/26/23 and months later I receive threats from Driveway saying they are going to charge me for New Jersey sales tax even though I had already paid Michigan sales tax months ago. They claimed they need my SS information to process my plates which is a complete lie as I had already received my plates. Why would I need to provide my SS information more than once??? Because they are incompetent and neglected to properly record it when I provided it months ago! What a freaking joke of a company. Overall, I would never recommend buying from Driveway. The good inventory is not worth the hassle and stress the whole ordeal has caused. Just find a car another way, it's not worth it. Driveway has a long way to go until they are a company I would recommend to someone. More
