Driveway sells unsafe cars without disclosing issues related to the car. I purchased my vehicle from them in November 2021. After they dropped of the vehicle, I soon found a multitude of issues. 1. The driver’s side visor doesn’t stay in place, creating a hazard because it fell off while driving. 2. The tire guards were missing screws, so they don’t stay in place 3. The hazards lights did not function as the entire wiring harness was missing. 4. One of the AC knobs was broken when the car was delivered, and the AC only barely works. 5. The temporary plates on the car turned out to have been issued in my name for commercial vehicles only resulting in me paying out of pocket for 3 sets of temporary tags while waiting on the permanent ones to come in. Driveway only partially refunded this cost on my end. 6. Front and rear quarter panels were loose because of missing bolts 7. The sunroof didn’t function and was not on the track, resulting in the sunroof being unable to completely close 8. The radio didn’t function correctly 9. Other minor issues here and there that I took care of myself. While Driveway attempted to have some of these issues fixed at my local Lithia dealership, the dealership didn’t fix all the issue despite having my car for about 6 weeks. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for rental cars and ended up only being partially reimbursed. When I went to pick up the car, the battery was dead, and a tire was flat. A few days after getting the car back, the visor fell off again while I was driving on a highway. Communication with both Driveway and my local dealership was incredibly slow. I was told the local dealership would call when they had parts, but I never received the call. After contacting Driveway, it took over a week to be told they were no longer responsible. It’s clear Lithia/Driveway don’t actually perform the inspections required their vehicles to ensure customer safety, that their vehicles will actually pass state inspections to ensure you can legally drive the car in your state, and will not disclose relevant issues when purchasing from them. I deeply regret trusting this company with my safety and am sad to say they are refusing to take responsibility now for the dealership not completing all the repairs. More

Working with the driveway people was pretty easy. They gave me the best price for my car with zero haggling. I have two complaints: 1) t it took a couple of weeks to get an appointment scheduled. Once scheduled it took another 3-weeks for the car to be picked up and transaction to close. 2) documents and personal information was sent over email and text. Next time I'd prefer a more secure way to upload personal info. The customer service people were very nice and responsive. This was the first time i used an online service to sell a car. I'd definitely recommend and would use it again. More

I had no issues with the payment matching the quote, I even had the exact amount of money in my account before the car was picked up! (That may depend on your bank, of course!) Best quote I got from four places (Carvana, Carguru, etc.). Highly recommended, But let the process play out, and you will be rewarded! More

My husband and I sold 2 vehicles to them and the entire process took just over a week and was so smooth. I was a bit of a skeptic at 1st as they were much higher than Carvana, but payment and payoffs were process took just over a week and was so smooth. Bait and switch company please beware, before purchasing with them! I recommend carvana or Carmax! Looks like this is a common complaint! I recommend Do not for the sake of your credit and finances. After showing my irritation, without cursing or anything they didn’t really care and stopped engaging with me. I have screenshots of everything. Looks like a lot of these are fake reviews also because on their Facebook & other sites there is actual folk voicing how this company is really doing people! More
