The team at Downey Hyundai went above and beyond! I took my preowned 2017 Elantra, which I purchased from another dealership, into Downey Hyundai after my battery died and the AAA driver who jump-star I took my preowned 2017 Elantra, which I purchased from another dealership, into Downey Hyundai after my battery died and the AAA driver who jump-started it said it needed to be replaced. My car is covered under the second owner warranty, which covers the battery for 3 years after the initial first owner purchase date. That date for me was 38 months ago, JUST 2 MONTHS TOO LATE! However, Cesar, the friendly service technician, reassured me and said, "Let me see what we can do for you." Sure enough, he comes back and tells me they are going to replace my battery in full, no charge, as an act of goodwill! I was stunned! He then told me to wait for about an hour. Only an hour wait and I walked in without an appointment on a very busy day! I walked out of the dealership in less than an hour, (a very comfortable wait in their very nice customer lounge) with a brand new battery and a complimentary carwash. But that's not all. When I initially walked in, I was greeted and helped immediately, absolutely no wait time! As I said before, the place was packed! Then while the technician who was helping me went outside to take photos of my car, 3 different technicians greeted me and asked if I had been helped. You can't beat that level of customer service. Thank you to all the folks at Downey Hyundai, especially Cesar Maldonado, for the excellent service! More
