I had been trying to land an ID.4 for a couple months. I'd called every VW dealer in NJ to get on their lists! One morning while I was still in bed I receive a text saying there are going to be three ava I'd called every VW dealer in NJ to get on their lists! One morning while I was still in bed I receive a text saying there are going to be three available but that I had to call in now! As soon as I saw the message, I called James to hopefully snag one. He was still on his way into work, but he only had two left. The Kings Red w/Gradient had already been claimed. Thankfully I had always been partial to the blue and did not consider the Gradient package worth the extra $1500. Once he got in I put my $500 deposit down. I asked if there were going to be "market adjustments" and he said there wouldn't be. I was a bit skeptical about this, as I had recently walked out of a nearby Hyundai dealer after seeing an $8k markup on a Kona EV. I was told it would be about a week and a half for it to come in. A couple days later I get a text saying it was coming in the next day! Way ahead of schedule. I would be able to get it on that Friday. The experience at the dealer was very pleasant. I had to wait a bit for the car to charge but thankfully I wasn't in a hurry. James was as pleasant to deal with in reality as he was on the phone and the finance guy was not skeevy like the one I'd dealt with when I got my Toyota three years ago. It's been three weeks and I'm very happy with my vehicle. More
