I had been trying to land an ID.4 for a couple months. I'd called every VW dealer in NJ to get on their lists! He was still on his way into work, but he only had two left. The Kings Red w/Gradient had already been claimed. Thankfully I had always been partial to the blue and did not consider the Gradient package worth the extra $1500. Once he got in I put my $500 deposit down. I asked if there were going to be "market adjustments" and he said there wouldn't be. I was a bit skeptical about this, as I had recently walked out of a nearby Hyundai dealer after seeing an $8k markup on a Kona EV. I was told it would be about a week and a half for it to come in. A couple days later I get a text saying it was coming in the next day! Way ahead of schedule. I would be able to get it on that Friday. The experience at the dealer was very pleasant. I had to wait a bit for the car to charge but thankfully I wasn't in a hurry. James was as pleasant to deal with in reality as he was on the phone and the finance guy was not skeevy like the one I'd dealt with when I got my Toyota three years ago. It's been three weeks and I'm very happy with my vehicle. More
