Ripped off!!! Worst experience ever in my life! I went to this dealer because a friend got her new Yaris there and the sales guy was from the same country we are from. Then, I thought he will be the I went to this dealer because a friend got her new Yaris there and the sales guy was from the same country we are from. Then, I thought he will be the right person to help me to get an honest deal and I was so wrong. I went over there with a fair credit score and I really trusted every word the sales guy said. I went looking to buy a recent used RAV4 and he told me I could afford only a lease of a new Corolla based on my credit score and since I was first-time buyer. They made me pay $ 1000 as a down payment and they received my old RAV4 2005 for $ 1500, and somehow the best deal they got for me was monthly payments of $ 400 for a Corolla 2019 for 3 years. Very disappointed and resigned that was the best deal for me, I signed the lease contract. Sad and frustrated, the following days I did my research in other dealerships and I found out that with my profile and actually an even lower of course, but still fair credit score, other dealership offered me a lease for a RAV4 2018 for 320 USD and no downpayment. At that moment I realized I was ripped off at Don McGill. So, six days after I signed I drove to the dealership and I asked to speak to the New Cars Manager, who said the transaction was done and he could not do anything to help me. I was completely upset and I went there for three days straight from 5 pm until 9 pm and they just did not help me and made me wait hours for getting worst answer everytime they approached me. I really just wanted to return the Corolla, get my money or part of it back (since I drove the car for those 5 days) and go to another dealership expecting to get a more honest deal. Seeing none would help me, I asked for an appointment with the general manager and they gave me an e-mail address (tteselle@donmcgill.com) to where I sent an appointment request and I never heard back. However, what the new cars manager did was offering me an exchange for a RAV4 with the same monthly payments, which I accepted because they did not let me return the car at all I felt I had no other choice. At that moment, I said yes and I was pushed to sign for like three salespersons that were there all over me and they did not let me read carefully. I reached this point where I did not want to be there never ever again. I feel ripped off, cheated and very uncomfortable. I just wanted to sign (because of course, I needed a car to drive) and leave that place right away. I got home to make my numbers an realized that I lost the $ 2500 from my car I left there and the little savings I had and I leased the most expensive RAV4 ever. I know I will end up paying at least $ 6000 more than I should pay for 3 years contract. I understand selling cars is a business but it has been so difficult for me to earn my money and seeing it vanished because two people thought I was an easy target for them to make money makes me really sick. I would never recommend this place to anyone. More
