I purchased a certified Pre owned Tundra yesterday from Don McGill Toyota in Houston. The sale was initiated by my cousin who is very experienced in car sales. Everything was to be completed on my arrival to dealership as I had to drive 200 miles. Upon my arrival the designated contact immediately passed me off to Javier Flores. Javier did all he could to make up for the slow transaction...truck was not clean and ready to go, fuel tank not full, etc. He worked to hasten the deal but I was there over 2 hours. Considering I had truck picked out, my vehicle ready to be traded AND was paying cash...I only needed to drive Tundra and look it over...still took long time. Once again, Javier was doing all he could to make it right for me. For that I give HIM a high rating...thank you Javier for your effort to satisfy me on this buy. More
Avoid this dealer at all costs, they tried to pull a scam on me and proceeded to waste my time. I contacted this dealership via truecar, and they promised to give me a Dark Gray rav4 xle premium for 28,000 d on me and proceeded to waste my time. When I went to the establishment the same day after MAKING AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE CAR, the vehicle was said to have been sold and didn't inform me that it was sold and wasted my time going to the dealership. when I arrived, they said they had the Exact same car but in the black color and for the same drive out price, I repeated to them that if it a 28,000 dollar drive out and premium then I will take it off their hands, otherwise do not waste my time, and they assured me. after test driving it and telling me the features, we go inside and close off the deal and after I gave them all the info for the credit score, Romario Bento comes in and brings a contract saying 31,000 for the GRAY CAR. We told him that that's not what you said on the phone. The guy who showed us the car then budges in and says to the sales manager that he was showing the gray car which was sold, revealing that he was planning the scam from the get-go. he quickly and aggressively snatches the paper out of our hands and we call him out to which he then proceeds to play off and act as if he showed us the black car which he said had "extra stuff on it". we tell him that you and your assistant sales associate promised 28,000 dollars drive out and we are not going to close the deal until the offer is fulfilled. he goes down to 29,000 and after a few moments we took him on the deal. he then goes back on his word again and doesn't let us have the black rav4 for 29,000, which just put the cherry on top for how terrible this dealership is. If they do not make things right and actually do as they say on their side of the deal, there is no way in xxxx I'm going back here and buying another car from here again. we contacted a lady after the fact and she left it into the hands of the sales manager to make it right, and somehow he doesn't. Tl;dr If you see don McGill, run for the hill. More
This dealership is the worst! They sold me a lemon! Come to find out there is a electrical problem that's costing me an additional $1100. Also they charged me 3 time's the amount for this car $24000 for a 2013 Audi TT! Thank you to the staff at Don McGill and especially Charles. Searching for and buying a car can be full of ups and downs in experience. We had some issues come up in our pursuit and Charles did his best to awnser questions, explain the process, and get us to a place we felt ready to make our purchase on a fair price. There was a few things beyond his control with some options and details on our pre-owned Armada that had us confused when we first came to see the vehicle from 2 hours away. We walked away the first day and Charles kept in contact and worked to keep our intrest and awnser our questions. Charles was honest with us and gave and explanation of choices the previous owners the best he understood. Charles worked with us and helped us research some information that lead us to understand and comeback to a deal and price we felt was a good deal for us. Keep up the good work Charles. Keep talking to your customers helping them through the process. You have good patience and great demeanor for being a salesmen. More
I made a special order on a 2021 4runner with all the specifications that I wanted on the vehicle. I was quoted two weeks for delivery. Over a month later I got a call saying my vehicle was ready. Upon arriving to the dealership my new vehicle looked nothing like the one I had ordered. Missing all sorts of items from the blackout package. I was told by the manager that they would order all the parts another month later I dropped the vehicle off for installation of the new parts. When I called to check up on the status no one knew who I was, I wasn't in the system, and they couldn't find my vehicle which was weird cause I had a rental from them. Next day later I finally got my 4runner. It still was missing a part they promised to install and they did not give me back my stock wheels and tires which I paid extra for. Overall this dealership Is one of the worse places I have purchased a car and has an unorganized service department. I would not recommend this dealer at all. More
