We were bowled over by the quality of our experience from the greeters at the parking lot to the general staff on the floor who were always solicitous even though they weren't personally serving us. Abe and the greeters at the parking lot to the general staff on the floor who were always solicitous even though they weren't personally serving us. Abe and David were terrific, genuine, and very helpful, Abe having spent most of the day with us looking at two different cars, taking them to our mechanic, etc. It meant a lot to us that Don McGill supports their staff and the vehicles they sell to the extent they do. And we did find and buy our vehicle, spent more than we'd have liked, but believe we were given a fair market-value price. More

Don McGill Toyota listed a 2023 Sienna Limited so we called ahead, made sure it wasn't sold, and stopped by a few minutes later. We arrived about 4pm on Saturday, May 4th. We were introduced to Tommy ( called ahead, made sure it wasn't sold, and stopped by a few minutes later. We arrived about 4pm on Saturday, May 4th. We were introduced to Tommy (I didn't get his card or last name), then shortly after sitting down at his desk were passed along to Aaron Kim. He brought a used 2023 Limited around for us to check out. After going through our requirements of what we needed, he said their vans that were incoming were all already spoken for, so they would have to look when their next allocations came through. I said the only exception would be an XSE with the Premium package. They did have an XSE incoming with the Premium package coming in about 2 weeks. It had what we wanted, so we said if we can agree on a price, we'd go ahead and buy today. We finally got to $59,500, leaving on some add-ons that we didn't want, but wasn't bad enough to continue to squabble over, since it would be in soon. We bought VIN: 5TDCRKEC0RS205457 Don McGill Stock# 94252 We then were greeted by Mr. Belal Awad, who would be the finance manager completing our deal. He mentioned he should be able to beat our credit union's rate. He got us financed with Wells Fargo for 5.99%. We finally completed the deal just before midnight, and then were told we'd get updates on status and a call when the van arrived. Since I didn't hear anything during the week, I called Thursday, May 16th, and spoke to Aaron about an update on an ETA of the van. He said it should be in about Tuesday, May 21st. Thursday, May 23rd, I missed a phone call from Aaron at 2:31pm, and he left a voicemail asking me to call him. I called him right back, and that was when he told me there "was a problem." He said a manager had sold the van to someone else, they were working on locating a van for us, and that they would give us a Limited for the same price. I believe at that point, he offered a black Limited with Chateau interior, both of which we didn't want. We decided to go up to the dealership first thing Friday morning to see what happened. We arrived about 9:30am, and a salesperson, Mr. Ishtiaq A. Rana, approached us and asked if we had an appointment. I told him no, we were here to find out what happened, because our van was sold to someone else. He asked if we had a deposit, and I told him, no, we signed all of the paperwork to purchase the van. He replied with surprise and said that was "nearly impossible." After realizing that they had sold our van to someone else, he offered to go get the manager. Mr. Mike Roberts apologized profusely, and tried to explain the situation. He said that he let Aaron know that our van had arrived, but that Aaron told him that we "backed out," allegedly in reference to another Sienna he had someone lined up for, who backed out. This is, of course, in at least some contradiction as to what Aaron told me on the phone the day before. Mr. Roberts did say that he was going to make it right, and locate us a van, and would give us a deal $500-1000 under invoice for a similar van. They had already traded for an XSE (no premium package) Thursday to "use as a trade piece" to try and locate us a van. I told him that we had located a van that was nearly identical, but that had AWD at Philpott Toyota in Nederland. He looked it up, and said, "Oh, but it has a deposit on it." I said, yes, it does, it's OUR deposit on it to hold it, but if he wanted to make it right with us, that he could obtain that van and give us this pricing he said he would. We could work with Philpott to release the deposit once the terms had been worked out for a trade. At this point, the discussion took a bit of a turn, and the tune then sort of changed and he started emphasizing how we "needed to be patient" so he could locate us a van. He gave us his card, and said it has his personal cell number on it, so we could reach him any time, and he would be in contact every 2 days until a van was located. I never heard anything back, and still haven't. More

When I fill up the gas tank, my projected distance is around 260 miles of total range ON A FULL TANK OF GAS. It’s unbelievable. I brought my car into the dealership and the service department was extremely unhelpful. First it took them three hours just to look at my car. Then they spent hours attempting to convince me that this is normal behavior. Never in my life has this happened with the dozens of cars I’ve driven. I can guarantee that my bad review of this dealership and this car will not stop here. Good luck to anyone doing business with Don McGill Toyota of Katy. More
