My husband and I have bought three cars from Don McGill within the last year. My husband purchased a FJ Cruiser last October from Mike Jacksis and he exceeded all my husbands expectations did a fabulous jo within the last year. Two months ago my husband was in a terrible accident and totaled that FJ. First thing he did was call Mike Jacksis for a new vehichle. my husband told him what he wanted and Mike had it for him within two weeks and it was even better than the last. While we were at the dealership signing the paperwork I was complaining about my 1998 4Runner that had 240,000 miles on it and that's when Victor Salcedo stepped in and saved the day. He found me 2011 Toyota Venza that I fell in love with and drove it off the lot that night. When I went to the dealership to pick up my plates Victor put them on himself so I wouldn't have to wait on the service department. My car also had a few scratches on it that needed to be buffed and Victor got Will who works on detailing cars to handle that, and they washed my car again. Ok, I hate everything about dealerships... I had been researching Tacomas (08-11) for almost 2 months and found about 10 all over Houston that fit my needs. I walked into Don McGill expecting the worst ( researching Tacomas (08-11) for almost 2 months and found about 10 all over Houston that fit my needs. I walked into Don McGill expecting the worst (I read this site and many others before talking with anyone in person) BUT the whole process went MUCH SMOOTHER than expected. Syed Jafri is very layed back and wasn't 'in-my-face' with BS. I did tons of research and came in with a spreadsheet of all the trucks I was interested in. I showed him the Stock Numbers, he looked up all 4 that they had, 1 was sold already which left me with 3 to test drive and check out. He didn't mind at all that I wanted to check them all out. He actually told me he likes when ppl do their own research (which is why I'm recommending him, since I'm one of those ppl who don't trust anyone or anything). I test drove 2 trucks on a Monday night, he was VERY PROMPT when it came to getting the keys to test drive (the 2 I drove were also being looked at by other customers the SAME night, he grabbed the keys right off the desks of the other salesmen lol). I knew I would buy the 2nd truck I drove (2009 TRD Off Road, Prerunner, SR5, V6, Legit Price). It had the best price (that I found) in Houston, so I jumped on it. I told him before I signed anything I wanted to bring it to my mechanic (HIGHLY Recommend to ALL reading this) and he was cool with it. So I brought it to Auto Check first thing Tue morning, they said it was legit, printed up a diagnosis checklist, and then I met Jafri to finish the paperwork. Mike Lopez finalized everything (and bought me a bag of lays chips cuz I was starving). If you do your own research and hate dealerships, go talk to Syed Jafri at Don McGill.
