STEER CLEAR - I recommend Wile or Racine Toyota I have a new Scion XB purchased in January of 2015. I was due for my first vehicle service and scheduled it at Don Jacobs (the closest location to my I have a new Scion XB purchased in January of 2015. I was due for my first vehicle service and scheduled it at Don Jacobs (the closest location to my house). The vehicle was purchased at Racine Toyota in WI. I scheduled my service appointment online for 7/1 at 3:45pm. I arrived at 3:40pm for my scheduled first oil change and tire rotation. When I checked in, I wanted to confirm the services were covered under my Toyota care plan and I asked about the oil type the dealership was using; was it semi-synthetic? A young lady checked me in, who may have been new because she sought assistance. Another service writer noticed; stating that my vehicle will get conventional oil. He said that all oils now-a-days have some synthetic blended in anyway. He instructed the young lady to put on the Repair Order synthetic oil and said that they will use conventional oil. I didn’t say anything; I just took note of the conversation. It did/does alarm me that synthetic would be on the repair order (or a blend) but you tell the customer he/she will receive conventional oil. About 70 minutes later the services were completed and I checked out. On 7/6 I received a voicemail from Len at Don Jacobs. He requested a call back about the recent service on my Scion. I did not return the phone call; I didn’t have the available time and thought it was for surgery participation. On 7/8 I received a second voicemail from Len. He elaborated and let me know that part of the service was not performed on the vehicle “because the young lady who wrote up the repair order thought that the vehicle took synthetic oil which means that the vehicle gets an oil & filter change every 10,000 miles. The vehicle comes with conventional oil from the factory so even though I received a tire rotation and inspection, we neglected to do the oil & filter which was an error on our part…”. He requested I call back to get the oil & filter change scheduled. 7/9 I called back and scheduled the oil & filter change for 7/10 at 4:00pm. 7/10 I took my Scion back in for the oil & filter change. I spoke w/ Len and let him know about the situation that occurred on 7/1. He let me know in his opinion what went wrong and what should have happened differently as I provided the same. The conversation was good and Len listened. I was checked out 20 minutes later. I did not receive a new RO. Also, the appointment scheduling cling I did have when entering was removed. This left me driving away thinking … what happened here? Why did I not get a new RO or appointment scheduling cling or at the least why was it removed? Mistakes were made. What should have been an express service done in a single visit ended up being a bad experience with Don Jacobs Toyota. I will not return for service or sales. I had pleasant experiences at Racine Toyota and Wilde Toyota during the sales process and I will now be servicing with one of those dealerships even though I’ll drive longer to do so. I had actually visited Don Jacobs Toyota when I test drove a Prius in late 2014. I didn’t care for the sales person and when I decided to lease the Scion, I consciously made a decision to not return to Don Jacobs. I did however decide to give it a chance on service. I should have trusted my gut instinct to not return there at all. Lastly, in regards to my experience with oil changes, I work for an OEM and handle service marketing. We do not market conventional and synthetic blends in the same way so I found it interesting that it was explained to me that all oils are blended with synthetic; even conventional oil. I did address this with Len who backpedaled and said his service writer misspoke. For someone inexperienced with oil types, this would be misleading for the dealership to say to a customer. More

Getting me to "yes" was hard, but they made it feel right. I have been looking at new cars for 3 years (I don't really like to buy a depreciating asset so put it off) and I have visited a variety of dealership I have been looking at new cars for 3 years (I don't really like to buy a depreciating asset so put it off) and I have visited a variety of dealerships of different car makes including the Mercedes dealership from which I purchased my most recent car 15 years ago. The only dealership that made me feel comfortable enough to make the decision to buy was Don Jacobs. Here's what happened. My husband and I were in an unfamiliar area of the City for a funeral. I said let's stop at a Toyota dealership we had never been to before to see the 2015 Prius. Several of my friends and my daughter own Prius' and love them. We had been to several other Toyota dealerships and didn't get adequate answers to our questions so never decided to buy. I wanted a car that had a smaller impact on the environment from emissions and gas consumption, was reliable and not too expensive. We met Scott, the sales rep, as we entered the showroom. He immediately struck us as more professional. He asked us all the right questions, wasn't put off by our firm skepticism and answered our questions honestly. Instead of trying to fake it, he told us he was new (he used to sell construction equipment) and got us the information we needed. He brought in Steve Jacobs, which was a delightful experience. I negotiate tens of thousands of dollars in contracts every year in the business I own so am not novice at the game. We checked the internet resources on what we should pay, asked for their bottom line offer and we got a great deal we could live with. Because we felt we could trust those two individuals, we went ahead with buying the Prius. We now feel part of the Jacobs Toyota family and look forward to having our new car serviced there down the road. Getting me to "yes" was no easy task, but they made it feel just right. More
Wonderful Salesman & Experience I have leased a toyota corolla (2015). My salseman was Wayne timm. He was very very helpful and very nice. I didn't feel pressured to do anything! He made the experience of getting a new vehcile very stress free. He answered all my questions and went out of his way to make this whole experience a good one!! I would recommend him to anyone I know that is looking for a new car. I had to call him a few times after the purchase and he was more than helpful!! He is a true asset to your company! I hope he is still there when my lease is up and I decide weather to purchase the car or get into another lease because he will be the only salesman I will go to. It was a FUN and VERY COMFORTABLE buying experience! Chad truly cares about all of his customers. And it's apparent that the dealership supports his efforts as they, too, made my daughter and me feel at Chad truly cares about all of his customers. And it's apparent that the dealership supports his efforts as they, too, made my daughter and me feel at home during the process. We have purchased/leased a total of 4 vehicles at Don Jacobs since 2001. Their Service Advisers are also very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. We have had NO negative issues or problems in all my years with Don Jacobs. Combine this with the excellent customer service we receive every time we visit and there's no question why I keep coming back and my daughter was happy to lease her car here. As long as they continue these efforts, my daughter and I will continue being their customers. More

Great car buying experience with Eddie Reyes! Looking for a used car for my teenage boys. At the recommendation of Chris Tovar I gave Eddie Reyes a call and we came to look at some vehicles. I am on my second Sienna from Don Jacobs and always work with Chris Tovar regarding service. Chris is amazingly knowledgable and is truly my champion regarding service, so when he recommended Eddie there was no question. Eddie was great to work with! We drove a number of cars and Eddie was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Friendly, low key and very knowledgable. Not pushy but very straightforward and likable. Eddie made it easy. Settled on a RAV4 Sport. We had a long discussion regarding price and he stayed very patient. He really worked hard to get some things corrected with the car that I was concerned about. We looked at some cars at a couple of other dealerships, but at the end of the day we decided that although we liked some of these other cars just fine, that we really wanted to purchase the car from Eddie. My boys actually said that and I agreed. He was our guy. In addition, when I thought about it, it was also important to me to keep working with Chris for service. I trust him so much that I could not imagine working with anyone else. Eddie and Chris are most definitely the reasons that we bought from Don Jacobs again. You can find good cars anywhere but it is hard to find people as good as Eddie and Chris. I would certainly highly recommend Eddie to anyone looking to purchase a car! And Chris is your guy when it comes to service! Thank you both!!! More
