Worst experience at a dealership I have ever had. I will never go back to this place again. Simple transmission service for a 2013 Suburban. I had a coupon, and the service was quick. Within a day or two we never go back to this place again. Simple transmission service for a 2013 Suburban. I had a coupon, and the service was quick. Within a day or two we noticed a noise coming from the bottom of the vehicle and the check engine light came on with rocky idling. DH had followed up with a text message about my satisfaction, I later replied explaining these new problems. The service advisor initially replied to me but did not reply to my last text message where I asked What should I do?, when I arrived today the advisor said that I never replied. Note, that the winter storm happened approximately in between the time of this service and today(Mar4). When I called today and finally made some time to take this vehicle in, they said oh, its been like a month. I guess I have to apologize for my inferior capacity to handle the recent winter storm. So remember that you must take in your vehicle at all costs no matter what. DH then takes a look at the vehicle and as you would have guessed it, they could not find anything wrong. So I drove the vehicle with the tech to demonstrate the problem. As this drive was starting the noise sounded, and I asked if he heard it, and the tech chuckled and said that its the car seat in the back seat making the noise. I kept on with the drive and was able to demonstrate to the tech the noise. The tech said he did not know what it could be, this was said several times and later by at least one more tech. We get back to the shop, the tech would lift vehicle again to take another look. The vehicle gets lifted and the advisor takes me to see bottom of the vehicle. The original tech and another tech once again say they see nothing wrong, and they bang around the bottom to try and sell that idea. I ask about the transmission oil change and they point out the area where it took place, I ask if they looked inside the pan to confirm their work and they had not, they did agree that its possible something could be loose in the pan. DH's further replies to this idea became very strange. They said that yes it is possible something could be loose in there, but if they removed the pan and found no issues then I would have to pay for the oil. So, in this effort I'd have to probably pay for another oil change. How is that good customer service where the customer has to perform and possibly pay for the troubleshooting after service in question. The engine light, DH did put on the original ticket that they had observed a single misfire BUT at the time there was no engine light or rocky idling. DH would of course say this is not related to the transmission oil change. My point to DH is I was doing the diligence of schedule maintenance, went to your shop, got a transmission oil change, and came out the other end with two issues. I could agree that the misfire/engine-light may be a separate issue but I could not agree to the what-if about possibly paying for transmission oil again. The techs took me in to speak with another manager, where they tried to get me to agree to this deal about the transmission oil, this came with family business speeches but as your tech saw and laughed at my car seat rattling, I have a family too and vehicle down time which includes this attempt for good service detracts from family time. The most unprofessional tactic trick I have ever been put in at a car dealership was when this manager kept insisting (more than once) that I told them to drop the pan, I never did so, this was an idea because your techs had washed their hands of all troubleshooting. I think it only makes sense to inspect the actual change point if there is a problem reported post-maintenance. After this meeting with the manager I just wanted my vehicle back, I had tried DH because of the coupon and because I thought it best to do something like transmission service at a Chevy dealer. Not going back, condescending, they tried to put words in my mouth, vehicle was returned with issues it did not have. Will not buy next SUV there. More
Orlando was very professional and helpful. Gave us time to think about our purchase without any pressure sales tactics. Stayed late to make sure we had everything we needed before we left. I have taken both of my Buick vehicles to the Don Hewlett express service center multiple times for routine maintenance. Each time the service, timeliness, and professionalism has far exceeded what I have ha express service center multiple times for routine maintenance. Each time the service, timeliness, and professionalism has far exceeded what I have had at other establishments. Even though others have been good, if I am in the market for another vehicle in the future, I am most certainly going to come here because of the quality of their staff. More
