I brought in my 2020 Encore GX to get the engine air filter replaced. Tanner met me on the driveway and I told him what I wanted. He told me it would be just a little while and directed me to the love filter replaced. Tanner met me on the driveway and I told him what I wanted. He told me it would be just a little while and directed me to the lovely waiting room. I got a bottle of cold water and sat down to wait. In just a bit, Tanner came back and told me that, unfortunately, the air filter I needed was on back order. I explained that I had a rebate coupon that expired in 1 day and he apologized and gave me his card and wrote on it to give me a discount in the amount of the rebate coupon. That was even better because now I don't have to bother with sending in a rebate and waiting to be reimbursed. Another example of how great the service is at Don Hewlett. He brought back my vehicle which had been washed and vacuumed and the tires had been brought up to the correct level. Tanner is just one of many great Don Hewlett personnel. I love doing business with Don Hewlett and I'll keep coming back. Thanks for being there for me for so many years. More

I've been a customer of Don Hewlett for over 10 years and have always used Sam. I've always had a pleasant experience at Don Hewlett, but this time was completely different. Unfortunately, Sam has moved on a have always used Sam. I've always had a pleasant experience at Don Hewlett, but this time was completely different. Unfortunately, Sam has moved on and I had to use a new salesperson. He'd only been there a month and it was obvious. Although friendly, he did not understand exactly what we were looking for and tried to push for something we did really did not want after test driving a used 2021 Chevy Tahoe. In the past, I've never felt sales pressure and had the experience of trying to be taken advantage of. It's like my previous sales did not matter. The 2021 Tahoe had bald tires, scratches on the inside, and we did not get the warm and fuzzy after test driving it. To make matters worse, the vehicle was way overpriced, even costing more than a new vehicle with the same features. Completely Unacceptable. They kept asking us what is your magic number, and asked what my payoffs were on my trades. This was an attempt to try to get the magic number without accurately and fairly assessing our trades for what they were. My magic number was to lower the price of the Tahoe to an amount that made sense and then give us a fair-trade amount. Neither was accomplished. They lower the price $1500 and arbitrary got our magic number (which was never given) by manipulating our trade in values to make it look like what we wanted. Completely Unacceptable! I've never had this experience at Don Hewlett, and feel that this dealership has gone down-hill since Sam and other previous staff has left. Needless to say, we walked out, and I will not return and this dealership has lost my future business which is a shame because I value loyalty and stick to what I know when treated right. This is the end of long-standing relationship with a local reputable dealer that in the past I enjoyed, but no more. More
