Brought my truck in after hearing a noise in the front that I knew was a wheel bearing. After almost 2 day my advisor, Chris G., informed me that there was a bearing problem on the front passenger side a that I knew was a wheel bearing. After almost 2 day my advisor, Chris G., informed me that there was a bearing problem on the front passenger side along with a list of other "critical" issues his tech found. I was dealing with some personal stuff and asked for a total cost of$5436.02 to do all the repairs. $5436.02 is what I was quoted over text. I then got a call to review timing of everything and asked twice over the phone "$5436.02 is the cost out the door?" I was assured that was correct and that work would be complete by the end of the week. I then get a call from Chris G. a few hours before it's supposed to be ready that it'll be an additional $1200 "because I forgot to add some of the maintenance materials cost in the number when I said $5436.02." Now all the repairs are done except for an alignment that was in progress, so if I wanted my truck I'd have to pay $6602.24, not $5436.02 I was previously quoted. My son was suffering from a mental health emergency throughout this service experience and I had to pay so I could have transportation. I've been working in customer service for 20 years and when you're in the business of customer service if you make a mistake, you have to do something to make it right for your customer if you want to keep them. After the way Chris G. charged me 20% more for repairs by not honoring his quote for the repairs (that he misquoted me on multiple times!) nor seem to give care at all about my personal struggles while this was happening that forced me to ultimately pay the extortion cost for repairs. I've been going to this Don Hewlett Chevy dealership for service for the past few years and was planning purchasing a new vehicle from them in the near future as my truck is approaching 10 years old, however after this experience, I will never go back to or recommend Don Hewlett Chevy for anything after the way I was treated. If someone at Don Hewlett Chevy in Georgetown reads this, do the needful. Come down off your high horse and repair the customer experience nightmare I had to endure because your employer made a mistake and called to tell me only hours before my truck was ready. More

Do you know who paid for my tags? Her name is Jan at steel GMC we're about my second vehicle about three weeks later Steele GMC Round Rock paid for my tags that weren't done right at Don Hewlett Chevrolet Buick. the vehicle If you are looking for a new vehicle go to steel GMC or Nyle maxwell that has A+++++ customer service. I've been going to them for 20+ years and they have proven to me that they care not only did they pay for my Steele GMC plates but they paid for my plates to go on my 2023 Tahoe I purchased from Don Hewitt, how embarrassing. Disabled veteran plates are free and you charged me. Where is my refund. so hey David get your facts right next time before you send a letter to a customer. saying unfortunately without a signature that allowed time expired .I drop that paperwork off to Jeff and Monica with a signature on it so get your facts straight!! I will never give my you subpar company my business again. anybody I will let everyone know what Customer Service is at your facility NONE!!! But Steele gmc in Round Rock while they were titling my other new car to help me registered the vehicle I bought from from Don Hewlett because they didn't snd they paid for it to help me. The worst experience in car buying to date. Jeff in finance and Mathew out salesman are the only two people that were amazing! I have signed three forms for tags at the dealership. Where did they go? Rude letters sent because they can't get a dv plate correct now it's left for me to do? I live over 45 minutes away, I'm in medical treatments daily for my Multiple Sclerosis. this is the 5th time I am being told to come in and sign. Don't they do this for s living? So unprofessional. Since when do you ignore your clients calls. Way to take care of your 100% total & perm disabled war veterans. Was looking for a second car 2 weeks later. I went to Steele gmc. A+++++ quality and I already have those plates. I will not be back. Nyle Maxwell is the way to go. I called Russell the business manager and half way in sentence he talks over me and transfers my call. I have left numerous messages for Karen, Karen's supervisor and now John the GM.
