Please, for your own sake, stay away from the service department at Don Davis Nissan in Arlington, Texas! My sales experience was great, however, I hate this place now because of the service department. department at Don Davis Nissan in Arlington, Texas! My sales experience was great, however, I hate this place now because of the service department. I will never return to Don Davis Nissan for anything ever again!

I bought my car from here three years ago. Ever since, I have had nothing but problems with the service department. Most times I can not get a straight answer from service advisors or even get work done correctly which means I have to keep coming back to get the same things fixed over and over again! Plus, it seems like I lose pieces of my car there too. For example, they rotated my tires and by the time I got the car home, two lug nuts from the same wheel were missing!

There is never any consistency in Service Advisors here either. It appears like there is a revolving door at this place and they can not retain any advisor for any length of time. The same goes for Service Managers. I’ve seen three different ones in the past three years. If Don Davis Nissan can’t make their own employees happy, why would they try to make a customer happy!

I even had a fuel pump go bad on my car at 36,342 miles. The bumper-bumper is up at 36,000 miles and the dealer wanted me to pay several hundred dollars to fix. I convinced them that the part had been going bad prior to the end of the bumper – bumper warranty expiration and they did a “Goodwill” adjustment to pay for the service. Here’s the kicker though… The fuel pump is covered under the powertrain warranty which is 60,000 miles and should have been covered all along. Why did I have to argue the point? Can you understand why I don’t believe anything that they tell me?

My most recent adventure was to replace a clutch that has gone out after 24,000 miles. I had the clutch replaced once already because of a defective clutch disc and now my clutch has gone bad again. The service department does not want to accept any blame for this even though I firmly believe they didn’t do the original replacement properly. They have ever accused me of abusing the car and therefore will not honor a warranty on the flywheel which is burnt too. I understand their skepticism, but I NEVER abuse my car. In fact, I baby it because I want the thing to last forever so I don't have to buy a new one anytime soon. I take offense at their accusations and feel that they are ripping me off with a $1500 price tag for something that is not my fault.

Please do not take this review as one person being mad over one incident that is costing a lot of money. My anger stems from years of unacceptable service. I would gladly offer a good recommendation if I had one. I’ve spent may dollars at Vandergriff Chevrolet and absolutely LOVE them! So as you can see, my anger does not stem from having to spend money to fix a car.
More
