Quick and Friendly Service I needed a new tire. I brought my old tire into the shop hoping they could swap them out. Unfortunately, my tire was not in stock. Shannon was great! I needed a new tire. I brought my old tire into the shop hoping they could swap them out. Unfortunately, my tire was not in stock. Shannon was great! She got a new tire ordered and delivered before 5 pm, so I was able to pick it up after work and get back on the road. THANK YOU! More

Recurrent issue, Couldn't get it fixed, still an issue.. I initially had a problem with EPC light coming on, and service engine light. I took my 120,000 mile 2003 Tiguan in to Shannon, who told me the intak I initially had a problem with EPC light coming on, and service engine light. I took my 120,000 mile 2003 Tiguan in to Shannon, who told me the intake manifold was bad. She did tell me it would be replaced under a service bulletin for free, so that was good. All OK when I got the vehicle back. A month later, another issue appeared, and I needed a new battery and cable. That was about $500. Dorito did the work. All OK when I got the car back. Several days later, the EPC light came back on, and the car went into limp mode. I was told I needed a new throttle body, for $1000 or so. I had the throttle body replaced at another shop, Callaco Auto Repair in Martinez. All OK when I got the car back. Then a month later, the EPC light returned, and went back into limp mode. Kevin told me they spoke with the factory, and due to the conditions seen, I was told I needed to replace the engine wiring harness, for $1500. Dorito replaced the wiring harness. All OK when I got the car back. Then, a week or so later, the check engine light came back on. I was told by Kevin I needed to replace the turbocharger, for $2000. I have not done this yet. Kevin and Shannon have both been very nice, and professional, but I can't keep putting $1000s of dollars into the car without some permanent resolution. It seems we are just swapping parts in the hope that one of the parts eventually will correct the problem. I know you want only glowing reviews, but no one seems to be able to say "we will get this fixed, or it won't cost you any more from here on." More
Courteous, Friendly and Trustworthy I have been bringing my VW Beetle here for it’s service for 6 years and have always been completely satisfied with the quality of the work done. I have been bringing my VW Beetle here for it’s service for 6 years and have always been completely satisfied with the quality of the work done. All of the service staff have been extremely courteous and helpful each time as well. The waiting area is quite nice and has ample seating for multiple people. A shuttle is provided though I have not personally used the service. Their location has easy access and is in walking distance to downtown Walnut Creek. The cost for maintenance service can sometimes get a little pricey depending on what the mileage service needed requirements are but I have not compared prices with other places to determine if they are in line with all other service centers in this respect. More
Mixed review I've been a long-standing Dirito Brothers customer/family member for almost 20 years. The past couple of visits (August of 2018 and this last one has I've been a long-standing Dirito Brothers customer/family member for almost 20 years. The past couple of visits (August of 2018 and this last one has us asking, "should we begin taking our VW's to another dealership?!?" Our latest visit to repair a minor issue that had already been repaired 1 year ago had us feeling frustrated when we arrived for our appt., when we discussed said issue and then most certainly when we were called to discuss diagnostic findings and recommendations. For the sake of trying to be anonymous, yet candid, I won't mention the service advisor who "if" we go back, we'll avoid doing business with, as we felt tried to hustle us into paying money to remove and discard factory parts that VW Corporation manufactured the car with... yet we were asked to pay $300.00+ to remove a part, toss it in the garbage and it'll fix the problem for good?!??!? Makes ZERO SENSE! I can see paying to replace a part... or to install something additional, but pay to have something we were told should not be there as it's causing a problem? HUH???? Did VW somehow make a mistake by manufacturing the vehicle with that part... and now I have to pay to have it removed entirely?!?!? When we brought this to the service advisor's attention, this person was in complete silence. Couldn't even speak! I asked, "are you still on the phone??? Hello???" Then I'm asked, "so, what do you want us to do? What are we doing for you?!?" Very, very frustrating, confusing and most importantly, this service advisor knew darn well they were tyring to hustle us (for lack-of-a better-term). I told them, "don't remove or repair anything. I'll pickup the car as it is" To the credit of Dirito Bros. and this particular service advisor: when we arrived to pickup our vehicle, they made everything right (no removal and disposal of needed parts) replaced a needed filter and didn't charge us. I appreciate them making a very big WRONG in my book, right. NOTE TO DIRITO BROS: please educate your service advisors to greet your customers (especially the one's who have a scheduled appt), with a "hello" when they arrive. After we said, "Hi. Good morning." and were greeted with a, "what can I help you with?" in return is rude. Additionally, I don't like receiving a phone call from your service department later that day (same service advisor) and after I pickup the phone and say, "Hello?", they immediately reply with, "your car is ready for pickup!" Yes, this happened!!! This may have been the topper for our experience. More
