Tell the sales person why I’m here and...shocker but the truck I wanted was sold. Couldn’t inform me it was sold before I made the trip even though she knew I had to travel 2 hours. Anyways, so I end up purchasing a 2018 version of the Colorado. As in the other reviews, the internet price is not the price you pay, not even close. You have to have all these things, which no normal person would have in order to be eligible for the internet price. So I finally have 6 hours..6...I leave. Signed papers for everything. Thank god its over, never to to deal with these people again. Oh no, next day I get a call from Fernando my finance guy. Something happened with he bank and I have to go with a new bank...umm ok? But don’t worry he says, he found me a new bank with a higher interest rate....meaning my payment we’re going up 50 bucks!! No way I tell him. Anyways after going back and forth for the next two days about it (at one point we ended the call with me taking my car back but them coming to pick up the truck and my car still two hours away, like uh no I have no way to come pick up my car then!). Im not paying a penny more for this truck with all the extra stuff I got, so he finally (after two days) figured out how to do it all for the same payment price. EXCEPT I have the extended warranty done through in-house. Meaning I have to drive two hours now to get my truck fixed after the original warranty! what a joke this place was, I will never go back here and NEVER want anyone else to go through this either!! Dimmitt Chevrolet of Clearwater lied lied about the use of my social security number.....I already had financing from my credit union so why would I need them to pull my credit. They then tried to switch and give me a contract with a much higher APR-they have violated my consumer rights. Under the FCRA, no one can pull your credit and doing an unauthorized credit pull is an impermissible credit pull under the Federal Law-Regs 1681-negligence. More

Pricing Is A Con-Job Recently I brought my daughter to the dealership to look at and purchase a car she had seen online. The sticker price had one price and below the pri Recently I brought my daughter to the dealership to look at and purchase a car she had seen online. The sticker price had one price and below the price was and additional $1,100 to be added on to the purchase of the vehicle. I stated to the salesman that the internet price was what the original sticker stated. The salesman indicated that he would honor the sticker price. I asked what was the $1,100 below the sticker price and I was told that is what the dealer had to put into the car. That's great! But that is not my problem. We sat down and negotiated on the price of the car and amazingly enough the $1,100 kept showing up on the sales contract. Again, this $1,100 is the cost of Dimmitt doing business, not my problem. So the salesman could lend credence to the $1,100 I was given the story of whom owned the car and how she paid of her student loans and only drove the car back and forth to school, One more time, not my problem, nor do I really care. I gave my offer, which started the process of "let me see my manager" and I will be right back. The manager came over and provided a bunch of xx of how the internet is mine and his friend and pulled out a sheet stating I would not find a better vehicle at the price they were offering within a 150 miles according to his sheet. Well he was wrong, I found a better vehicle and upgrade with approximately the same millage. The dealership was in Tampa approximately 15 miles away from Dimmitt's dealership. I guess you should not believe everything on the internet hmmm Dimmitt. I found the whole experience with Dimmitt dishonest to say the very least. I am sure I am not the only one that has experienced this from Dimmitt! I am in the market for an Hummer H2 and noticed Dimmitt has one, guess what they can keep it. More

The features were a little better than the one my son wrecked and the mileage was much lower. Chris worked with me to get the price where I needed to be. He was very patient, kind, and appreciative of our business. I highly recommend him as a salesman and the dealership for their fast and friendly negotiations. Will purchase from them again. More

Inaccurate Service Diagnosis I brought my 2012 Malibu to Dimmit Chevrolet service department because my engine would start to run rough, then the engine light came on. This was oc I brought my 2012 Malibu to Dimmit Chevrolet service department because my engine would start to run rough, then the engine light came on. This was occurring sporadically, nothing consistent about the car running rough and I fully explained this to the service advisor. They had the car for a few days and said they tested several components and they think the intake valve on #2 cylinder had carbon build up and needs to be cleaned. I was quoted at $2,200 - $3,600. After a few days I was told they need to remove both cylinder heads and clean all the valves, V6 engine, and they would keep the price within the quoted range. I found out the car was out of warranty by GM by 4 months and there was nothing Dimmit could help with cost wise. I called GM warranty and discussed the situation with a "Senior Advisor". I understand the warranty is out, but It is unreal to have a car with less than 55k miles, the warranty just expire and the entire top half of the engine needs to be removed and the valves cleaned. I explained that I am not looking for 100% assistance but some help from somewhere. GM denied my request as they did not find me to be a valued customer, they could not see in their system that I was a chevy owner. I was very upset as I currenty own a 2012 Chevy Malibu and a 2012 Chevy Equinox, and in 2013 I bought a 2011 Chevy Malibu. I have plenty of monthly payments to prove I have owned chevy vehicles. Dimmet Chevy called and said the car was fixed and the bill was $3,892.00. I paid my high bill, got my keys and left. I drove less than ONE MILE away from the dealership and my car started to run rough and the engine light came on again. This is absolutely not a desirable event after paying $3,800 dollars and the car has the same problem as when I brought it into the dealership. I called the service department and returned the car the next day which was Wednesday 1-18-17. They still have the car and I have not heard a single word since then. The service advisor I have been speaking with has been the ONLY good experience thus far. He has not yet given me any good news, but he has been helpful, understanding and professional. I hope that in the coming days I can change my review of Dimmit Chevy from 1 star. I will most definitely update this and other reviews of Dimmit as new events arise. More

They got our vehicles ready and then said they were $15k and $14k. We showed them the online price and the manager said "you're a smart guy, you should know that there are terms to those prices". He kept saying that it was still a great deal. He's right it was still a great deal but extremely deceptive. We didn't qualify for the discount on both cars, only 1. Great dealership but they will pull a fastball and raise the price. The manager on duty even admitted that their online prices weren't true. GM looked into the matter and said "Dimmit is doubling the manufacture discount online then not honoring that amount" Great deals, just know that you're going to pay an additional $2-3k then they advertise online. If you ask why the price went up, they will dodge the question by saying "Well its still a great price" then play dumb. GM is currently looking into the dealership. More
