I've always been wary of taking cars to dealerships for maintenance and service, but Waikem Hyundai changed that and I was happy to admit I was wrong for generalizing dealerships. That said, I'm not a fan maintenance and service, but Waikem Hyundai changed that and I was happy to admit I was wrong for generalizing dealerships. That said, I'm not a fan of Diehl and will be visiting a different dealer for maintenance. I wasn't overly impressed with the service advisor I worked with - he seemed agitated when I told him I was buying my air filters on Amazon and that I didn't want to get my brake pads changed. But whatever, I guess I can expect that. This is a small thing, but kind of a big thing because it's so simple and helpful - for the last 3-4 oil changes, the sticker that says mileage and date for next oil changed hasn't been put on the windshield. Are mechanics constantly forgetting this, or is it something that's not done anymore? Either way, it's annoying and inconvenient. Another small yet big issue - my car had been notifying me for weeks that my washer fluid was running low. I thought "no problem, I have an oil change coming up, they'll fill it up." ...but they did not. So when I tried to wash the thick layer of pollen off of my car but couldn't because the reservoir was empty, I was surprised. In the future, I plan to go to a different dealership. Or maybe even Valvoline honestly lol. More
I recently came in for oil change, 4 wheel alignment, and brake fluid flush/change. Total them up and it was in the low $300 area. But when i got my bill it was $395, with hidden charges I was never told abo brake fluid flush/change. Total them up and it was in the low $300 area. But when i got my bill it was $395, with hidden charges I was never told about. Makes me think of going elsewhere to someone who is up front on charges.for my next service. More
Bought a used Kia Soul , they told me that the car had been thoroughly checked and serviced. The service report showed that the windshield wipers had been replaced and nothing else. Took the car to my me been thoroughly checked and serviced. The service report showed that the windshield wipers had been replaced and nothing else. Took the car to my mechanic for trouble shifting and hard to start, $630 later paid for a crankshaft position sensor replacement, a rt/front lower control arm assembly replacement and most disappointing was that he told me it was very on oil and the oil was black!!! Your own service department didn't even check the oil! The crankshaft sensor would have showed a code on a computer check, the control arm assembly problem would have been hard to miss if the car had been on a lift, and the oil should have been replaced.
