Overall experience was good. Salesman was friendly and responsive to questions. Financing experience was only fair as advertised interest rate was not the rate that was available when I finaled financing responsive to questions. Financing experience was only fair as advertised interest rate was not the rate that was available when I finaled financing. I did get .9 percent on 3 year but advertisement was for 1.9% for 48 month, which I would have prefered, however what was offered for 48 months was 2.9% on my Outback. More

My wife and I were debating between the Forester and the Outback. We test drove both cars we ended up purchasing the Outback and my wife loves it. We only had an issue when trying to get the value of our tr Outback. We test drove both cars we ended up purchasing the Outback and my wife loves it. We only had an issue when trying to get the value of our trade-in. We did not get the price we were hoping to get for our trade-in but was happy with the price of the Outback. Mizan was easy to work with and answered every question we had. He was very patient when waiting for us to decide which car we would purchase and was very helpful. I felt very comfortable working with him. More
Long was awesome. He accommodated our needs, listened to our questions, and taught about all the great features of our new Outback. We love the car and were only disappointed that there were a couple of sma our questions, and taught about all the great features of our new Outback. We love the car and were only disappointed that there were a couple of small stains on the interior (though only 11 miles on the car) -- one of which will not come out. The price was easily a thousand dollars under any other dealerships lowest offer! More
The thought of buying a new car to replace my old Outback filled me with a certain amount of dread but I made the decision and contacted Dick Hannah Subaru in Vancouver. I started with the Internet as I liv filled me with a certain amount of dread but I made the decision and contacted Dick Hannah Subaru in Vancouver. I started with the Internet as I live 5 hours away and liked what I was seeing and reading particularly when I compared everything to two other dealership much closer to where I live; Huyen Hoang was the sales representative who helped me through the process at Dick Hannah when I decided to go and actually test drive the Forester that I wanted. Huyen was easy and comfortable to deal with and answered every question I had. I knew what I wanted, and what I didn't want, and my needs were met and no pressure was applied during the several hours I spent at the dealership. I also got a very fair deal for my old Outback and was please at how Dick Hannah worked with me on the trade in. And...I love this car! More
UPDATE: I was contacted by the General Sales Manager, Kamal. He apologized profusely for my situation and made a couple different "offers" to make up for it, which, in the end, I accepted one, but told Kamal. He apologized profusely for my situation and made a couple different "offers" to make up for it, which, in the end, I accepted one, but told Kamal more than once my complaint wasn't intended to "get something out of them" but he insisted. He sent Mizan with a loaner Outback so he could take the Forester back for the seatbelt recall. I drove the loaner back to the dealership after work and met with Kamal. It was a good meeting and I expressed my appreciation for him reaching out to me. We left on good terms. I can't say that my feelings toward Kenny have changed at all though. I have changed my response to "Would you recommend this dealership?" to yes, with the caviat that I would not do business with Kenny again. I also added a rating for quality of work as they completed a recall on the Forester. They get a 4 because they picked up the car and left me a loaner. To me, that was above and beyond. Now, had they washed the car and reinstalled the car seats, that would have really impressed me and earned five stars. ;-P ORIGINAL: Contacted the dealer Saturday evening (3/10/12) concerning their weekend ad and stated that if they had a silver 2012 forester at the ad price ($23,711) that I would be in the next afternoon to purchace the car. Was contacted early the next morning by Mizan. I asked Mizan to check and see if any of the incoming ad cars (the ad stated "6 in transit") were in silver. He called me back and said they had at least 5 silvers with that MSRP ($26,355) coming in any day and they would honor the ad price. I contacted Mizan later that day before I left to the dealership to confirm that they were still going to be receiving a silver with the ad MSRP and they would honor the ad price. He again confrimed this to be true. After arriving at the dealership and filling out some paperwork, I was approached by a sales manager named Kenny. He said they were not getting any silvers in but they had three blue ones I could chose from. I mentioned the ad said there were six incoming and he said the other three sold. I then told him that Mizan had told me he was given a sheet that said 5 silvers were expected any day. He said that was not the case and I asked him to go verify it. He came back and said they were only expecting one silver and it was not coming in until April. I asked Mizan to produce the paperwork showing the shipment and he said "I can't do that." Kenny then tried to sell me a silver Limited model on their lot for much more money and I refused. He then produced a sheet that showed a dealer in Oregon City had a silver. He wrote a price of $23,999 on the sheet and said it was higher because it had more options. I pulled out the dealer ad and showed him both the ad car and the one in Oregon City had the exact same MSRP. He explained that it would cost them money to do a dealer trade. He conceded $100 of their $150 "doc fee". By this time I was coming down hard with the flu (missed the next three days of work) and decided to cut my losses and eat the extra $200, but I wasn't happy about it. When we went to pick up the car the next day, Mizan informed me that he had given one of my sets of keys to another customer. I asked him to mail the keys to me, but he wanted to "meet me" somewhere to deliver them. I told him it would be much easier to mail them, but he said he would prefer to deliver them. He did call me the next day but I was too sick to meet up. I never heard from him again until I texted him on 3/21/12 asking him to deliver the keys to me at my work, which he did on 3/22/12. On 3/24 I decided to check out the dealer's inventory online and discovered that they had no less than SEVEN silver Foresters of the exact same MSRP as the one I purchased and in the ad. I texted Mizan to let him know I was not happy and felt Kenny intentionally lied to me. He apologized. I then sent a complaint to the dealership through their "contact us" page on their website with the same details as this review, expressing my disgust at Kenny lying to me. I expressly stated that if they would like to contact me, to email me and not to call. The next day I received a voicemail from someone claiming to be a sales mangager. I could not understand what his name was as he said it really fast. I have not received any response via email as I requested. Kenny did nothing but reinforce the negative stereotypes of car dealerships. I will NOT take my business to Dick Hannah ever again. I do reserve the right to change this review if they somehow miraculously make up for this situation. More
