Misleading Information Regarding Insurance When we went into the dealership to lease a new 2019 Sportage, We specifically told our salesman that we could not spend anything over $290.00 a month When we went into the dealership to lease a new 2019 Sportage, We specifically told our salesman that we could not spend anything over $290.00 a month for a lease payment. During the negotiations for the vehicle we told the salesman that we had to take into consideration the INCREASE in our monthly auto insurance payment that the 2019 Sportage would create. The salesman ASSURED US THAT OUR "INSURANCE WOULD NOT BE AFFECTED". After a lot of negotiation and going back and forth several times with a phony performance by the salesman and his superior, the dealership agreed to a payment of $290.00 a month for the vehicle. We accepted the deal after being assured that our insurance would not be affected by the lease of the new vehicle. We were lied to and after getting our new declaration page for our monthly premium with the 2019 Sportage on the policy, our monthly payment for our insurance went up $67.51 more a month which is $810.12 more a year. So now our $290.00 a month payment that we did not want to go over is really $290.00 a month plus $67.51 more for the insurance per month which is a total of $357.51 a month. this is a substantial increase over the $290.00 we wanted to pay. When I called my insurance company to question the monthly increase amount in our insurance premium for a vehicle that was newer and safer than the vehicle that we were trading in and taking off of our policy, they told me the reason that my insurance went up was because the "AVERAGE REPAIR COST FOR OUR NEW 2019 VEHICLE IS MORE THAT THE AVERAGE REPAIR COST OF THE 2014 VEHICLE THAT WE TRADED IN. We were assured by our salesman that our insurance would not go up with the 2019 Sportage. That assurance was incorrect. Our insurance company said that the dealers know that insurance premiums are affected when a customer purchases a new vehicle but they PURPOSELY DO NOT TELL THE CUSTOMER because it would convince the customer to not purchase a vehicle. BUYERS BEWARE !!!! This dealership will do anything to sell a car. even mislead the customer with incorrect information. They should tell the truth and do their homework about the effect of new vehicles on a customers insurance premiums. More

Once home I noticed the middle row floor mats were missing. I texted the sales rep asking about them, and three days later have received no response. Attentive until deal is signed, then ignored. Financing personnel and other staff were professional and friendly. More
