My experience with dealers has varied as far as integrity of the dealer(s), personalized service and efficiency of the transaction and delivery of the vehicle. I just leased a 2012 Eos from Dean Team Ballwin yesterday, Nov 30th and found the experience so exceptional I requested an opportunity to forward a commendation. It started at 8 am meeting with David Liss to test drive the 2012 Eos - then I went to work. My 2009 leased Eos was due to be turned in so Scott Roberts and I then worked out the financial arrangement over the phone to allow me to upgrade to a 2012 Eos. I prefer not to spend the entire day at a dealership and asked Scott if he could prepare the paperwork in advance. I returned to the dealer at 4 pm, finalized some details with Scott, he then turned me over to the Closing Specialist, Richard Martin to close the deal. Scott then spent another 30 minutes in the car with me going over all of the special features and offered a quick tutorial on operations. I obviously like Philip Dean and his team or I would not be returning to lease my third car. But yesterday was so exceptional I classify the experience as "luxury" treatment. And to top it off, Scott offered to personally handle the service requirements of my car. I simply call Scott, tell him what I need, drop my car off, pick up a loaner and he will ensure the service team completes the specified work. Tell me, who wouldn't want to purchase or lease a car from the Dean Team in Ballwin? Highly commendable dealer! Thank you for the opportunity to share my experience. Cheryl Reeve More

I purchased a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Diesel sedan from Dean Team Ballwin. Sales experience was outstanding. As part of the purchase, all maintenance was included for the first few years, so I have been Dean Team Ballwin. Sales experience was outstanding. As part of the purchase, all maintenance was included for the first few years, so I have been taking my vehicle there for routine service. Have also had to take the vehicle back for a couple of unsecheduled repairs, including a timing belt that broke and an oil leak that proved to be very elusive. My first service visit was excellent. The next several visits - both for routine and unscheduled service - were less than excellent. In particular, the level of communication from Service Department was less than acceptable, and my confidence in them as a reliable service provider was pretty low. Not sure what was going on but it seemed they had lost some focus on customer service. I am very pleased to report that the last two service visits were much improved. In particular the last visit I would rate "5s" across the board. They even took care of a couple of recalls that I was unaware of (received notification via mail from Volkswagen about a week later). In all the last service visit exceeded my expectations, and as of the last encounter, they had increased my confidence back to where it was after the first service visit. More
I went to the dealership to purchase a 2012 Touareg TDI. The car description stated the vehicle was trailer prepared. I inspected the car and noticed it didn't have a trailer hitch. I told Adam the car MUST have a trailer hitch or there was not deal. Adam assured me he will have a hitch installed and all I needed to do was to make an appointment. I explained to him I was going on vacation in several weeks and needed the hitch. I traded in my Chevy Avalanche. They really tried to low ball me on a perfect Avalanche and had to go to Kelly Blue Book to prove to them there trade in price was very low. They did increase the trade value a bit. I took the car and from here everything went South. I didn't receive a call from Adam for a week and called him asking for information on my hitch. He informed me that there was no hitches available and he would look into taking one off another car. Another week went by and Adam informed me that VW representative told them not to remove a hitch from another vehicle. I requested that my Chevy Avalanche be returned to me or I would return the Touareg. Adam stated he would talk to the General Manager. No word. I received the VW survey and stated clearly the poor support and misleading statements I got from the salesman. I got one call from the dealership on my answering machine. I filed several complaints to VW Touareg Executive Care to no avail. They are truly worthless. They actually told me that the car is rated only to 1600# regardless of what hitch or modification was done. I started to work with the Curt hitch manufacturer. They released a new hitch for the 2011-12 Touareg. Bommarito VW in Hazelwood helped me obtain the necessary bundles and the trailer lighting module. They also helped me with copies of the tech manual. This modification cost me over $1000 to make up for the $425 option. Do not believe anything the salesmen tell you. It would be best to say away from the Dean Team and go to Bommarito. More
