We went in looking for a used car for my son, Carl Schaeffer approached us and introduced himself.. He began showing us used automobiles and my son really toook a liking to a pontiac G5. Which Carl Schaefffer worked with him on a price and got him a great deal and my son drove away with a smile on his face. I on the otherhand was waiting to sign papers with my son and wife. I mentioned a Toyota FJ Cruiser that was sitting out back and my wife told me why don't you go take a look at it. When I went to go look at it, it was already gone. I let Carl know and he told me that it was on a test drive. When the other customer declined purchasing the automobile, Carl got me the keys and told me to go ahead and test drive it. I told him I didn't think I could afford it, but when I mentioned to Carl that I had a Jeep Liberty that I was still making payments on and we started discussing it and Carl said what if I could get you the same payments on the toyota as you are paying on the Jeep. I said I'll go get my Jeep and Carl said we don't have to do that we can do an offsite/unseen appraisial. I said great and Carl started crunching numbers and got me right in the ballpark of the payments that I could afford with my trade-in. After it was all over I drove off the lot the happiest man ever driving away in a Toyota FJ Cruiser that I thought I would never own. Thank you Carl Schaeffer. More

I bought a 2004 Mazda rx8 from the Dean Team dealership in Baldwin Mo. The day after I bought the car (march 28, 2013) the car drove a little sluggish and the check engine light came on. The car was brough in Baldwin Mo. The day after I bought the car (march 28, 2013) the car drove a little sluggish and the check engine light came on. The car was brought into the service department (April 1, 2013). It was stated that the Mazda's control circuit was low. They checked wires, found no issue there and reset the check engine light.. Within 7 days of purchase the car shut off while I was driving it (April 4, 2013). I contacted the dealerships sales rep (April 5, 2013) expressing the issue and asking to swap the car for another. The car was towed to the dealership (April 8, 2013) to the service department. I was given a loaner car while mine was being serviced. A couple of weeks later i was told that the car had a carbon build up issue as well. i was told that the car was then taken to a madza dealership for evaluation and was stated that a full tune up on the car will eliminate the issues. I agreed to the tune up (preformed April 23-24, 2013). On (April 26, 2013) the same issues arouse again and I texted the sales rep as well as sent pictures of the engine light illuminated on dash board. The dealer agreed to switch my car out for another (April 26, 2013). On (April 30, 2013) I go to the dealership to switch cars and I'm told that I have to wait for another lender. On (May 9, 2013) I texted the sales rep because the Mazda cut off again while I was driving. I was told that I had to pay on the Mazda for a few months before I could get out of the car. Then was told via text (June 11, 2013) that I was no longer being put in another car and was going to be placed back in the Mazda. After returning from vacation i returned to the dealership on (July 2, 2013) to find out why I wasn't being put in another car as promised. The sales rep took back my loaner car and told me that the Mazda had been through the service department it's my car and it's not their problem that I'm unhappy with it. It's been approximately 3 months since the date I originally purchased the car but I've only had the car in my possession about 4 weeks and have been driving their loaner cars the rest of the time. The car has been back and forth in the service department 3 times or better for weeks at a time. The salesmen promised on many occasions to switch my car for another but it seems as though once they discovered how much of a problem the car was, he was determined to keep me in the car. The dealership is probably very helpful overall but this particular guy (Carl Scheaffer) in this particular situation has been stringing me along. The services I received at Dean Team resembled those you would see at a buy here pay here facility. I wanted to buy a car I could drive not a "project car" that requires extra attention. Beware women buyers!!! More
