I visited the dealership on a rainy Friday night. It was close to closing and the first person I ran into was Rick, he very nice and courteous. I explained that I was looking for a new listing I saw on the internet and he directed me to Steve. Steve greeted me with a helpful attitude and asked me which vehicle I was looking for. We were headed to the back of the dealership when Steve saw the vehicle on the rack in the shop. We entered the shop and I was so excited to see the car I asked Steve if I could inspect it while on the rack and he said no problem. This was the first time I have ever had the opportunity to inspect the underneath of a used vehicle I was interested in purchasing. By allowing me to perform the inspection shows me that this dealership and Steve have confidence in the product they sell and the quality they have to offer. This is the type of dealership I want and did buy my next vehicle. Obviously I did not test drive the car that evening but I did return the next day to test drive it and had some requests which were meant to the detail. My husband had purchased three cars from the Dean Team in the past! So when he told me that he wanted a Passat TDI I made a phone call! I spoke with Carl Schaeffer. I told Carl what I was looking for, (exterior/interior). Since we lived two hours away Carl and I communicated thru email and phone! Carl knew that we were not in a hurry and not once did he pressure me. Close to a month later, I called Carl and told him when we would be up. I also spoke to Mike Liss. The car we wanted was located! We drove up the next day. Both my husband and I were impressed! We were sold! Pick up/delivery went smoothly! While waiting on paper work other staff members were friendly to us! Our daughter (5) was able to sit in a play room and entertain herself! The entire process was pleasant! Carl was very professional, yet laid back! We will definitely recommend The Dean Team to our friends! More
The service I receive at the Dean Team service dept with Eric is A+. When I walk in I always go to the desk to the left where I know he will be. He smiles and calls his customers by name. I am a widowed mother who just moved from a small town to the St. Louis area two years ago. I bought this Jetta right after the move in 2011 from the Dean team. Each time I have went in for service I know I can ask him any stupid vehicle or awkward pricing question, he answers with confidence, sincerety and with a smile. Also, the communication I receive from Eric with the service issue is timely, efficient and top of the line. I don't have to wonder what's going on with my vehicle. We called The Dean Team to get clarification about the pricing of a 2013 Jetta TDI that was listed on their website while we were at another VW dealership. The best decision we made was walking away from the other dealer and going to see Dustin Westhoff at The Dean Team. Dustin was friendly, knowledgeable, and upfront about what he could do for us. After purchasing the Jetta Dustin took the time to walk us through everything the car had to offer and made sure we knew how to do everything. We even learned about some features on our other Jetta that we have had for 4 years that we didn't know about. We will never go anywhere else not matter how far we have to drive to get there!!! If you live within a four hour drive of the Dean Team go see Dustin, it will be well worth the trip!!!! More

My experience with Tony Wright and the dealership's financial manager, who processes the sale, was not As wonderful. First, the financial manager did a very, very heavy pressure sale job regarding his effort to sell me an extended warranty. He absolutely would not take 'no' for an answer despite my saying 'no' at least 10 times. It was unpleasant and the type of pressure dealing that gives car dealerships a bad name. He was relentless, repeatedly telling me that he just couldn't understand why I would say 'no', and extended the paperwork process until I said 'yes'. While I may have secured a decent deal for the warranty, the experience was so disrespectful of the purchaser. Since when does 'no' mean, keep at it until you wear down the customer? Regarding Tony Wright ... we purchased a new car that had a slight blemish, which we noticed at the dealership. We thought it might have been dirt, but it wasn't. I emailed and/or called Tony several times beginning the next day, all of which were essentially ignored. When I called Tony, for example, he told me he couldn't deal with the issue over the phone, that he'd call me the next day, then never called back. Ultimately, I was able to get the issue resolved, but only by having to bring the issue to the attention of national Subaru. This should never have happened. Since then, we've contacted tony twice and he's been excellent. Roy More

I did a first test drive with Tony Wright on a Forester and then later with Pete Ostlund on both a Forester 2.0 XT and an Outback. In between, Tony and later Pete remained in contact but were not pushy in and then later with Pete Ostlund on both a Forester 2.0 XT and an Outback. In between, Tony and later Pete remained in contact but were not pushy in the least, always offering to help. It took me a couple months as we wanted to pay off an existing car loan, but when I was ready the folks there were ready too. I found a great deal online for a competitor which they quickly agreed to match and worked with me and got me a better interest rate at my bank than my bank was going to give me outright! So now I have a new Forester and I love it, and the payment is incredibly reasonable. Would totally recommend the Dean Team for your next Subaru. More
