I bought a 2004 Mazda rx8 from the Dean Team dealership in Baldwin Mo. The day after I bought the car (march 28, 2013) the car drove a little sluggish and the check engine light came on. The car was brough in Baldwin Mo. The day after I bought the car (march 28, 2013) the car drove a little sluggish and the check engine light came on. The car was brought into the service department (April 1, 2013). It was stated that the Mazda's control circuit was low. They checked wires, found no issue there and reset the check engine light.. Within 7 days of purchase the car shut off while I was driving it (April 4, 2013). I contacted the dealerships sales rep (April 5, 2013) expressing the issue and asking to swap the car for another. The car was towed to the dealership (April 8, 2013) to the service department. I was given a loaner car while mine was being serviced. A couple of weeks later i was told that the car had a carbon build up issue as well. i was told that the car was then taken to a madza dealership for evaluation and was stated that a full tune up on the car will eliminate the issues. I agreed to the tune up (preformed April 23-24, 2013). On (April 26, 2013) the same issues arouse again and I texted the sales rep as well as sent pictures of the engine light illuminated on dash board. The dealer agreed to switch my car out for another (April 26, 2013). On (April 30, 2013) I go to the dealership to switch cars and I'm told that I have to wait for another lender. On (May 9, 2013) I texted the sales rep because the Mazda cut off again while I was driving. I was told that I had to pay on the Mazda for a few months before I could get out of the car. Then was told via text (June 11, 2013) that I was no longer being put in another car and was going to be placed back in the Mazda. After returning from vacation i returned to the dealership on (July 2, 2013) to find out why I wasn't being put in another car as promised. The sales rep took back my loaner car and told me that the Mazda had been through the service department it's my car and it's not their problem that I'm unhappy with it. It's been approximately 3 months since the date I originally purchased the car but I've only had the car in my possession about 4 weeks and have been driving their loaner cars the rest of the time. The car has been back and forth in the service department 3 times or better for weeks at a time. The salesmen promised on many occasions to switch my car for another but it seems as though once they discovered how much of a problem the car was, he was determined to keep me in the car. The dealership is probably very helpful overall but this particular guy (Carl Scheaffer) in this particular situation has been stringing me along. The services I received at Dean Team resembled those you would see at a buy here pay here facility. I wanted to buy a car I could drive not a "project car" that requires extra attention. Beware women buyers!!! More

Our experience with Carl Schaeffer was exceptional. Carl was personable and informative. Carl answered every question we had before we even asked it. Carl even set up the Bluetooth feature and took the extra time to enter our call lists so we would not have to fool with it later. We didn't feel pressured to make a purchase and when it came to determining price and value of our trade-in, they were willing to work with us.
