This was in stark contrast to when this location was run by Joe Cooper, where the sales staff was very high pressure, and tried to steer you towards vehicles that met their needs, rather than yours. Because of this, we decided to give David Stanley a shot. Unfortunately, once the decision to purchase was made, the remainder of the conversations switched back over to high-pressure sales tactics. We were told that the actual price of the vehicle was thousands of dollars more than what was advertised on their website, and that we would need to finance through the dealer at higher rates than we had already secured beforehand. (their best offered rates ended up being double what we had secured) Eventually, we were able to hold our ground and demand the car at the listed price while using our own financing, but it was a constant battle, with new people occasionally being swapped in to see if they could still sway us to what they wanted. If you are used to the stereotypical high-pressure sales approach, it should not be an issue for you. But it is very different from the initial casual environment, and you should be prepared for it beforehand. In addition, their insistence on trying to match our financing meant delays in processing the sale, which would have been fine except that it caused them to frantically scramble to complete the transaction before the end of the month, disrupting our bank's normal payment process and causing many phone calls back and forth between the three parties. This was a markedly different experience than we had in the past, using this bank with a competing dealer across town, where everything was handled smoothly without need for our intervention after the sale. Overall, I would recommend including this dealership as you cross shop for what vehicles are available that fit your needs. The shopping process is great here, and very easy. However, should you decide on purchasing one of the vehicles you find here, come prepared, draw a hard line on what you want, and be prepared to do extra work wrapping up the sale and after-sale process. Over charged and sold a pile of JUNK. David Stanly Ford in Midwest City is filled with Thieves and Liars. They are crooks, they will cheat you, Please, please, please don`t buy a used car from them. --- Here is what happened to me. I had a 99 F-150 a few little things wrong but less than $200. to fix, and a 08 chev. aveo with 60,000 miles new tires and wind shield replaced the week before. I was looking for A used Jeep on craigslist, I saw an 08 Jeep Wrangler with only 35,000 miles, in like new condition ( more like 200,000 miles ) for $15,000. I called and spoke with a woman, her name was Anna, I drove my pickup to take a look. A salesman met me at the door, we went in side and we sat down, I told him why I was there, he said I will be right back with it. He was gone about 15 to 20 minutes, when he got back the rain was coming down very hard, Because of the rain I could not look it over very good, We went inside and did the normal chit chat that go`s along with buying a car, then the salesman said I will be right back, after about 20 minutes of sitting alone the rain had slacked off, I went out side to have a better look at the jeep. I never made it 10 feet, The salesman called to me, and said he needed to ask me a few things, we went back inside, we sat down, he ask me my income and S.S. number and a few other things, then he said stay here I will be right back, off he went. 15 to 20 minutes later I went out side again to look at the jeep, Same thing, I did not make 10 feet, the sales man was calling me back, we went back in and sat down, this time it was senseless questions, some of them I had already answered. then the 3rd time was a repeat, then the 4th time it was gone, the salesman came out again, he said they took it to clean it. Then he said the finance manager is ready to see you, After about 10 minutes in came Gordon ( The master Thief ) He began having me sign papers after about 30 minutes I ask why are you having me sign the same papers over and over, he said we need lots of copy`s because they need to go to a lot of different places, after about 1 1/2 to 2 hours I had found nothing wrong with anything I read I stopped reading and that is when he put the WHAMY on me ( I did not know un-till the next morning ) I had been there over 3 1/2 hours. Now the ride home, the heavy rain had started again, the sales mam was with me and i ask why is the right windshield wiper not working? He said this side is turned off, I said how do you turn it on? He said on this year i am not sure I just know you can turn this side off. ( Liar ) The next day I found the arm to it was broke, It had been rear ended, I opened the hood the rod that holds the hood up fell off in my hand, the oil was the blackest I have ever seen in any motor, The jack compartment was filled with water as was the glove compartment ( this is a flood car from the U.S. Virgin Islands ) ( it did not go through there service department ) lots of rust on the inside, The wheel bearings and seals had to be replaced along with a complete brake job, new shocks, the left front one was bent. now I am waiting for parts for the front end, it needs a complete overhaul. I did my best to talk to someone on the phone, I could get no one to talk to after the operator, I looked at the contract it was not $15,000 it was $19,200. as it stands now I have over $21,000 in a pile of junk, next week I will be paying $500. or more for the work on the front end, and it is still a pile of junk. Anna and Gordon and his little brother no longer work there. I can not post this unless i pick someone below So i pick Danny. More
