On 12/30/2020 I was at Danbury Hyundai following up on work they had performed on my car. I showed them an issue I’ve been continuing to have since they worked on my car. Al was more than accommodating in immediately taking my Santa Fe sport in to look at the issue. I told him I could leave the car and have my boyfriend come pick me up. About 10 minutes later he comes out and explains the issue. He says the service manager wants to see me. The service manager Bill Sabatini Sr. Says he will no longer be servicing my vehicle because of prior service reviews and that I didn’t give him 5 star reviews....he said I was no longer welcome at Danbury Hyundai. I have never had any prior experience with this man and I 100% believe it’s because I mentioned my boyfriend picking me up. He is a is refusing to service my vehicle and correct what they did wrong. He said it’s just a simple turbo adjustment but refused to perform the work. Stay far away from Danbury Hyundai especially the service department. Immediately after I had the run in with the service manager I went to the front and spoke with the sales manager who promised me an owner would call me. Nobody has called me back. More

Everything that happened was exactly what other customers have experience with their Hyundai vehicles (part of the HUGE engine recall currently going on). We had our vehicle towed to the dealership two weeks ago. Throughout these two weeks I received 1 phone call back from my service writer Brenda. Her customer service was beyond horrible, I truly don’t understand how someone could treat another human the way she treated us. We are a family of 5 having to rely on 1 vehicle and needed to have answers because this was started to seriously affect our daily life. I’d call the dealership everyday to try and get some kind of update, they either would put me to her voicemail or promise to personal walk the message to her. Still each day my car was there, she never had the decency to pick up the phone to call me. I finally stopped into the dealership on my lunch break since I obviously wasn’t having any luck reaching her by phone. At that time she promised to reach out to me by Monday, that she was still waiting to hear back from corporate to see if they were going to approve the replacement of the engine under the recall or not. Monday came and went. Even after leaving 2 messages for her and the manager there. No one returned my call. Finally we hear from her the following day, they told us we be receiving a rental car that they be paying for. At that time I assumed they finally agreed to replace the defected engine. Well no, because the very next day they asked for proof of our recent oil change. Which I gladly forwarded the invoice to them. After speaking with her she told me that it wasn’t approved yet that she would have an answer by today. Today came and guess what??? They’re not covering it. They said the 1st owner had replaced the engine and the VIN# on the engine doesn’t match the original engine. 1. Why would you sell us a certified car that didn’t even have a engine in it that they would guarantee? 2. Why wouldn’t you disclose this to me at the time of the purchase? 3. Why would this vehicle need 3 engines! 4. Why didn’t the deal ship realize this when I brought the vehicle in for the recall in the first place? Basically her answers were.....it’s corporates decision... they can’t verify the vin number on the engine unless the car was completely taken apart (that’s total BS).. and that the dealership does not have to disclose that information. Do not buy a vehicle through this dealership, they’ll sell you a certified car with a warranty but who knows what part are in the vehicle because as soon as something goes wrong they’ll tell you it’s not the original parts and they will not HONOR anything. Now I’m stuck paying for a car that doesn’t even run that I still have to make payments on. More
Great Service I took my 2013 Hyundai Sonata to my local shop to put on new brake pads on the front and have an oil change. The owner of the shop called me and infor I took my 2013 Hyundai Sonata to my local shop to put on new brake pads on the front and have an oil change. The owner of the shop called me and informed me there seems to be a knocking from the engine and I should not drive it. I wasn't sure what I could do, the car had 107,000 miles. We contacted Danbury Hyundai and they told me to have it towed in. Well much to my surprise, two weeks later I had a new engine at no charge!!! Thank you Danbury Hyundai for all that you do!!!! More

HORRIBLE, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING, DISHONEST!!! My daughter bought her first car from them . Within the next week she realized she was given only one key. Her salesperson gave her the run around for 8 months about getting another key. When we finally got the second key they returned the first one broken. She also discovered there was no manual in the car and they wouldn't help her with that either. Finally when her car was brought in for an oil change (not at the dealership this time) the mechanic told her there was one odd tire on her car and one of the three that match was VERY worn. This will cause mechanical problems with the car if not addressed. Once again when we asked the dealership to fix this problem they offered to SELL us tires!!!! Can you imagine this?? THEY ARE HORRIBLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH!!! By the way where I gave them one I really wanted to give zero, but you have to enter something...and yes they were friendly......to make the sale...NO LONGER FRIENDLY ONCE THE SALE WAS MADE. More

Gina in service introduced me to Phillip who has been absolutely wonderful in helping me with my santa fe. He was polite and very knowledgeable. He actually listened instead of trying to pressure me into buying/leasing another car. I would recommend going in and talking to Phil for purchasing/leasing a vehicle. If u need financing speak to Joe and when in need of service Gina is your person to keep in mind. Thank you More
