Unskilled techs/commision based managers I bought my vehicle from this dealership. I'd say I'm fairly happy with the vehicle, but the service department is full of slime xxxxx The managers wi I bought my vehicle from this dealership. I'd say I'm fairly happy with the vehicle, but the service department is full of slime xxxxx The managers will test your knowledge, beware. Being I work on several pieces of machinery at my job I'm pretty familiar with electronics and mechanical devices. These guys will tell you anything under the sun needs changed to make a dollar. I wanted them to change the fuel filter last visit because the truck was close to 100k miles. Next visit was three months later to get a routine oil change. And you guessed it....they really really wanted to change the gas filter. No reason, just said it needed changed. I got the feeling they were full of crap when they didn't understand why the rear differential fluid smelled bad. If you've ever worked around axle lubricant, you'd know it has a sulfur smell to it and perfectly normal. The manager/tech at the service center tried to make this into a fiasco and wanted just another dollar, they must really work on commission because they are trying very hard to sell you on unnecessary repairs. I also could tell they were clueless nibs because I suspected something was wrong with one of coil packs my last visit. These guys used every tool from driving the vehicle, charging for a computer diagnosis, and recommending idiotic cures that don't even relate to the issue. I recently found the issue on my own and plan on repairing. I found it funny to let the manager know what the issue was because I originally was going to have them look at it a second time, again because I thought new customers would be treated well being I bought a vehicle from their dealership. Nope, the guy revs the engine once and says "oh yeah, it's definitely a coil pack. Couldn't do that last time huh bud? I'd highly recommend you find another knowledgeable and transparent shop to go to instead of these cash grabbers. More

They kept showing us cars out of our price range I clearly stated and showing my 17 year old V6s and sports cars! When we decided to leave the salesman kept calling for us to stay and when we got in our car to drive off another salesman JUMPED in front of our car and kept waving at us and yelling at us to stay. No thank you!!! It was a great lesson to my son about why used car salesman made a bad name for themselves! More
Left with a feeling of manipulation and deception We have bought four cars from Damerow. Two of them we drove for almost 20 years each and clearly got our money's worth from them. We went in to Damerow because we felt they had treated us well and Costco uses them as a preferred dealer for internet sales. Based on our changing needs the salesman steered us to an Edge. What a great car. We had it for about 18 months when I got a card from one of the sales managers at Damerow saying, "I want to buy your 2013 Edge back. Come in and we will make you an offer you won't believe." As I mentioned I was very pleased with the Edge but was curious about the offer. When we arrived at the dealership the salesman asked us for the keys to our car so he could have it checked out. He then showed us a 2016 Edge. It was a nice comfortable car and clearly an upgrade from the 2013 but he wanted an additional $20,000 for the car. I laughed and turned him down. I tried to leave (he still had my keys) and the salesmanship pressure increased. "What can we do?" "How can we make you happy?" The pressure increased with numerous trips "back to the manager". Finally after about two hours, and yes I did ask for my keys to be returned a number of times, I relented and bought the new Edge at a lower cost. It is a nice car with lots of bells and whistles. We have had the car now for four months and were very pleased. That is until it snowed. I was led to believe this was a four wheel drive vehicle. I discovered it was only a front wheel drive vehicle. My 2013 Edge, that I liked, was four wheel drive. I was led to believe the new car was also a four wheel drive. I made a call to a sales manager and went in to see what could be done. The sticker price on the car when we bought it five months ago was $37,000. They offered me $22,000 on trade in. After working the numbers he offered me a new 2016 Edge for another $11,500. The other Edge had 5,500 miles. Somehow it had dropped in value $15,000 in five months. I left still driving my new, but very used apparently, 2016 Edge with front wheel drive. The salesmen I worked with are looking for a pre-owned four wheel drive 2016 Edge as a replacement if one should show up. Not sure if I will follow through with the purchase of a replacement vehicle. I may just stick with what I have. I feel I was "suckered" by the sales techniques at the dealership. I know I have to accept responsibility for buying the car. I made the mistake of going in to check out the card from their sales manager. I should have been more adamant about demanding my keys back. There are lots of things I should have done differently. If the sales manager I talked with calls me with some fantastic deal I will probably listen. But, I may have to live with a car that isn't what was originally represented to me by a "very enthusiastic" and manipulative sales department. More

If it weren't for both Bradley and Chase, we may have not bought the truck, so thank you. More

Worst car experience ever! Worst car shopping experience ever! I will never go back to Damerow Ford for sales or service again. I went in today to have my used 2005 Explorer ass Worst car shopping experience ever! I will never go back to Damerow Ford for sales or service again. I went in today to have my used 2005 Explorer assessed for it's value, responding to an email and mailer that they sent ME saying they were looking for Used Inventory and would purchase my used car EVEN IF I DID NOT BUY a new car from them. On my phone call to schedule an appointment for the "assessment" with the Sales Manager and on MULTIPLE occasions in person with the Sales Associate while I was there over 1 hour waiting for the assessment of my car, I repeatedly asked for the "dollar number" for what they would offer me for my car (even if I did not purchase from them). While waiting for the assessment of my car, I was shown numerous cars for purchase, however I repeatedly said I wanted separate prices - price for my car just as a stand alone sale, or price for my car as trade-in if I purchased an Escape. Finally after waiting over an hour for my "assessment" which was my original stated purpose of going there, I was told a value of $2500 for my car, and $5000 for my car if I purchased the Escape. I repeatedly, over and over, probably 4-5 times asking for clarification to make sure I was getting a price for my car as an individual sale (as this was my original intent when responding to their email/mailer that they wanted to purchase Used inventory) and the price they'd give me for it if I purchased the new Escape. I had another appointment to get to and I wanted to think about it, so I left the dealership saying I would call or come back later in the day. Before leaving though, I reiterated yet one more time, probably twice more, that I was understanding this as they would give me $2500 as a stand alone purchase of my car, or $5000 for my car if I purchased the Escape. I left, and then came back 4 hrs later, to sell them my car at $2500. I did not want to purchase the Escape. However, now they would no longer honor the $2500 and were telling me they would only give me $1500. They lied, they deceived, they did a bait and switch and I have no respect for this type of game playing. I wanted honest sales people and up front communication. I over communicated my intent, my wishes, my desire for clarity of a bid on my car, without dependency on purchasing a new car. Over and over I stated my original intent in going to Damerow was assessing the value they'd purchase my Used car for (as they sent me the Mailer/Email asking for used cars). Shame on you Sales Manager, and Sales Associate Shane R. We have 2 Fords and have been using Damerow for service for over 8+ years (although my husband thought the Service was often overpriced and on occasional made misdiagnosis). No more! I will never give Damerow Ford any more business after this frustrating day! More

I bought a 2 year repair guarantee with the purchase of a trade in 2008 Dodge Nitro and the sales person did an excellent job but the service department is just abput the worst I ever have had to deal with. My car's heating system wasn't working so I called them to make an appointment but no one answered. For about a week kept calling with no luck, so I left at least a dozen voicemails until someone called me back and I made an appt. The car stayed at the dealership's shop for about 4 days and they charged me $100 on top of guarantee but the heater didn't get fixed!!! I didn't use the car for about 2 weeks so I didn't know it wasn't fix but as soon as I found out I called again (headache) I brought the car back for another session of paying another $100 for them to host my car into their garage and fix NOTHING!!! I'm so upset with this cheaters that I didn't want to take my car back for a third time just to be asked for more money and get no solution to my problem. It's cold now and I'm driving over an hour to work everyday in a fridge like automobile. I would not EVER recommend Damerow Ford dealership to anyone just because of their horrible and unprofessional people at service department. You guys deserve a 0 star rating!!!!! More
The right car at the right price I had been looking to upgrade my Ford Escape for about a month. I've purchased a few cars before but as a (now) single mom, this is the first time I I had been looking to upgrade my Ford Escape for about a month. I've purchased a few cars before but as a (now) single mom, this is the first time I have made a car purchase on my own. After trying and leaving a couple of car lots whose tactics I wasn't very fond of, I found a car at Damerow online. I worked with Larry The Ford Guy and had a great experience. He got back to me right away, was knowledgeable, and honest. The best thing about working with Larry was that he asked me what I wanted and then worked to get me just that. It was not a high pressure experience which is exactly why I purchased my car from him...and why I'll purchase my next one from him. He even took the time after the deal was sealed to make sure I knew how to use all my new gadgets. He got me a great deal and I LOVE my new car! Thanks LarryTheFordGuy! More

We ended up Purchasing a used car from another party but had we not found it, we would purchase from Damerov Ford and specifically Emily Lai. She is an inspiration and example of what quality customer service looks like. More
