Horrible place to do business. Told me I could not buy a new car for MSRP unless I financed with them. They give you the run actlng like they have the vehicles available but they Told me I could not buy a new car for MSRP unless I financed with them. They give you the run actlng like they have the vehicles available but they dont and have to locate them like other dealerships to try and steal business from other dealerships. You ask them for numbers out the door upfront but wont provide them and then ask you to pay a deposit upfront to secure a vehicle without even knowing the numbers or figures. When you call them out on it and tell them you arent interested in doing business with them anymore they continue to text you and make nasty comments so you block them only to have their general manager call you on his personal cell phone, to continue the insanity , you up only to get a text message calling your a keyboard warrior, and he texting you saying he dont appreciate you talking down to his sales staff, like your his child and he has to scald you for it. I dont understand the need for the call, I already said no business was going to be conducted and moved on, so why would he feel the need to call me from his personal cell phone to keep the insanity going. I have text messages and screen shots of all events. Contacting corporate Toyota as well. More

After selling my beloved Avalon, I called Cumberland Toyota to find out if they had any camrys in stock. Christy Herd answered my call and told me that 2 were on the way. Her coworker, Stephanie took me on a test drive. By the time we returned, Christy was ready to talk with me. We sat in the car and went over some of the features. Inside the building, my husband and I sat with Christy to discuss a purchase. I jokingly asked her to throw in a cargo net for my trunk. She laughed and agreed. We put a down-payment on the camry and made an appointment to return in 2 days to pick up my new SXE. On that day, Christy made it very simple to go through the necessary paperwork. She came out to the car and again got in with me and helped set up my phone and other necessary items. I’ve had issues with settling my car loan. Several months later my credit is now negatively impacted due to inaction on their part that is yet to be resolved. My credit score dropped by almo Several months later my credit is now negatively impacted due to inaction on their part that is yet to be resolved. My credit score dropped by almost 150 points due to the finance departments negligence. I was told by my GAP insurance to reach out to Cumberland Toyota for the last remaining payment that was needed to pay off my loan. So I reached out. I was told that the matter would be resolved by May 27. Then I was told that it would be resolved on May 31. A week later, June 7th, I ask for an ETA and no response. After another week with NO updates I take a day off from work to settle the matter. I drove a 3 hour round trip to the dealership and met Adam on June 17th. We made our introductions and spoke for the first time on June 17. He then followed up with me through text the following day, June 18. The check was then written out and mailed on June 18. Had this been done in a timely fashion the original payment would only have been for 887.44. The final check written out was for 1011.69 because of late fees and 12¢ per day charges. Because of this my credit score is negatively impacted and has severely damaged my ability to obtain financing in order for me to get another vehicle. The lies, poor communication, and lack of care on a time sensitive issue have caused me financial harm. Again, I have several text messages from the previous months and at no point was I instructed to continue making monthly payments on a vehicle which was totaled. THE DEFINITION OF GAP COVERAGE GAP pays the difference between the amount you owe on your car loan or lease and the actual cash value (ACV) of your car if it's stolen or totaled I purchased the additional GAP coverage so in the event that something like this would happen, I knew I wouldn’t have to pay on a car that was no longer operational and wouldn’t have to worry about any financial difficulties. Instead, I was left with a massive decline in my credit score. BOTH my insurance and the GAP did their jobs and sent the checks on time. The evidence I’ve posted clearly show that the finance department did not. I need a written and signed letter that explains why there was such a delay in the check being sent to the lender so I can open up a dispute to recover my credit score. More
