I will never sell my '02 XTerra, even though she has some rust and dents, and when things break, I don't want to hear every elaborate solution, or the phrase 'I'll tell ya what I'm gonna do!' I just want to turn the key and hear the engine work. Simple enough. Last week when my truck just stopped working while I was driving, I pulled off the road and was 'conveniently' by Andy's Auto Repair on 28th St N in St Pete. I had my truck towed over there, and a guy told me my transmission was bad, and it would be about a week and a half and he'd do it for $1,500, which he ensured me was a really good deal. I didn't have a good feeling about this place, so I called the closest Nissan Dealership (Crown) just to ask if that seemed like a decent cost for a transmission for my make and model. I was speaking to Justin Laurence, and he somehow convinced me to get ANOTHER tow truck to take my truck over to Crown, as he really felt that from what I was saying, it wasn't my transmission at all. Long story short - It was my timing belt, and my transmission was fine. I got out of there for just over $600 and had my car back within 24 hours. It's running great, and Justin (the red-head... you can't miss him! :) ) definitely made a loyal customer out of me. I'm very thankful that Crown actually SAVED me a few hundred bucks. Thanks Justin! We have exclusively worked with Crown Nissan St Petersburg and Christine since 2003 and would not ever consider taking our 350z or Altima anywhere else. More
