my truck was towed in for a safety recall and they refused to repair unless I signed a paper stating they could charge me for diagnostics and repair, unacceptable for a factory defect. More

The form that we were asking you to approve is a generic form we use for all service customers advising that if a part is required to repair a vehicle that was not covered under a vehicle service contract, the financial responsibility would be absorbed by the customer. Obviously, this would not have applied to the work that was being performed to your vehicle and I apologize if we failed to communicate this to you properly. This vehicle is under a national safety recall. Your employees refused to inspect and repair unless i give my consent that I could be charged for a known problem that could have gotten me or some innocent driver hurt or killed. The vehicle has 100,000 mile powertrain warranty that would have covered any diagnostics. Unacceptable excuse
