I cannot believe this. I always come to Cronic for service - I do out of loyalty. Cronic Nissan used to be the way to go! However, during my most recent visit, was informed I always come to Cronic for service - I do out of loyalty. Cronic Nissan used to be the way to go! However, during my most recent visit, was informed that Cronic could not complete my oil change because they did not have the correct sized socket to remove the oil drain plug. I told them that, "I have one in the truck." After showing it to the tech, he handed it back, saying that he needed a 6 point, not a 12 point. I offered him the xxxxxxx to go with it. He handed it back. "I'm going to use the drill." While standing there, the manager came over to make sure the tech delivered the news. Then, they asked, "Is there any place else I can go and get an oil change?" Finally, I just asked what we could work out, since I had been there for 2 hours. A free oil change was offered and accepted. My loyalty has been broken. Why did they not buy another socket, or borrow one from their sister dealerships, or use mine - I'm pretty sure you don't use an impact on a drain plug. Better still, can anyone explain to me what just happened? More
