Criswell was a downgrade after years of going to King Buick before they closed. (1) They constantly try upsell you — trying to ram unnecessary optional maintenance down your throat while presenting them Buick before they closed. (2) They do not communicate timely on the status of your vehicle. (3) They do not follow up or processing warranty claims timely. Recently Danny held my vehicle hostage for four days due to improper handling. I dropped my vehicle off with Danny on Mon. 4 Mar 2024 for a Thermostate issue. Danny told me they would have the car ready the following day, and the extended warranty company had approved reimbursement. Danny failed to inform me that his day off was the following day. I did not receive a call from the dealership on Tue, so I called around 2pm. I spoke with Dakota, who informed me that Danny was off and that I could call back on Wed. This was unacceptable, the fact that no one else could assist me on someone’s day off was purely unprofessional. After pressing the issue, Dakota reluctantly took my information and said he would find out what was going on with my vehicle and call me back in a few minutes. I never heard back from him. I left a voicemail for Danny on his direct line to call me about my vehicle. On Wed, I never heard back from Danny, so I called back in the afternoon. He seemed uncertain about my car, and told me he had to contact the extended warranty company to see if they approve the work — which was after he already told me that he contacted them and they approved it. So basically he was either outright lying to buy himself some time, or completely incompetent. He later informed me that the work was done, but they hadn’t received payment from the extended warranty company yet and couldn’t release the vehicle till they had the money in hand. Never heard back from him till Thr 7 Mar in the afternoon. By time I go to the dealership, Danny was already gone for the day, and it took some time for someone to find the work order. This was a terrible experience, not to mention they are the first dealership I’ve been to that charges a 3% “convenience fee” for using a credit card. Criswell is always a negative experience, and I’m looking for a new dealership. More
