I requested an online quote and David took the time to give me the best quote for their new vehicle and as well to my trade-in "unsight seen" quote. I didn't purchase the vehicle yet but I am really thinking about getting and I will drive 3 hours all the way from PA to MD to get my next new car. Went to the Criswell website and asked a few questions via the online chat. Short time afterwards Mike Boyce gave me a call with more info. Living 3 hours away Mike held the truck I was interested in until I could get there. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Mike and we got the deal rolling. Never felt pressured by Mike or Jesse from the finance department. By far the best experience I ever had purchasing a vehicle. I would recommend Mike Boyce and Criswell Chevrolet to any one. More

Disappointed with no service I made (@ 7:30 AM) and received email confirmation for an online service appointment for 9 AM on 1/2/17. It was for an oil and filter change, and a t I made (@ 7:30 AM) and received email confirmation for an online service appointment for 9 AM on 1/2/17. It was for an oil and filter change, and a tire rotation on my 2013 Equinox. Arrived at 8:45 AM. Jason Hallen opened the garage door and let me in. Asked how he could help me today. He was cordial. I told him I made the appointment for the oil change and tire rotation. He asked if I had made the appointment the prior day, and I told him it was made that morning. Since I was not a previous customer, (already in their system) he told me he could not "do anything today" because their "computers were down". He said he couldn't even fill out a service order. He asked me if I could come back later, and maybe the computers would be up. I told him maybe. I rode around a little, became annoyed after thinking about my time being wasted, so did not go back. The service bay was empty. In fact, the online schedule showed no other appointments, and all day open. I was the only customer, with my Equinox, in there. The only other people in the service garage were a young lady, and two other persons behind the particle board "office". The young lady did smile at me. Suggestions: 1) Take out a pen and paper and write my information down. VIN, Name and address (from my license if you don't trust me), and service items requested. 2) Do the oil change and tire rotation. I would have perused the gazillion dollar inventory on the lot. There are many beautiful Corvettes sitting right out front, and I intend to buy a new Silverado this spring 2017!! 3) Tally up the cost on paper, add in the 6% tax. Use an adding machine, or a smart phone calculator if required. 4) I could, and would have paid in cash!!! 4) Offer me a free coffee at Dunkin Donuts across the street, for my inconvenience. Heck, I would have bought everyone in the service bay their beverage of choice, as it was a nasty raining morning. My intention yesterday morning was to patronize the new Criswell Chevy dealership in Thurmont, since I live in Emmitsburg, only 6 miles away. I have always had my service done at the Frederick Fitzgearld dealership with excellent results, but did not feel like driving the 35 minutes to them yesterday. The service department at this Crisswell dealership is a victim of technology. It seems the younger generation (I am 58) doesn't know how to function without it. Maybe if they were trained better on manual operations, they will survive. Currently, they are not going to make many return customers given the way I was "let go" out the door. I guess I will stay with Fitzgearld, or maybe even try Renn-Kirby in Gettysburg, or Wantz in Taneytown. Oh, BTW, Nice "gigormous" fan in the service bay!! More

We went there because Ken Lamb immediately responded to an online request for information regarding one of the last of maybe ten remaining new Chevy Spark EV (electric vehicle) cars available in the US. The Spark EV was only offered for sale in CA, OR, and MD and is not available in 2017. After an informative phone call with Ken, we decided we wanted it. He was extremely proactive in reserving the car for us - despite a lot of interest from buyers on the west coast where there were no Spark EVs remaining. We overheard another buyer calling about this particular Spark while we were at the dealership. If you reserve a vehicle with Criswell, they are honest about what they can do and will follow through, to include reaching out to you at appropriate times. No sales pressure whatsoever and the advertised price, which was the lowest available in the country (and which was also lower than what it cost Chevy to build these cars), was honored with no BS. It only took a few hours to complete the deal from the time we found the car until we drove it home. A few words about Ken, he is extremely knowledgeable, even encyclopedic, regarding details of the Chevy lineup. He knew more about the vehicle than anyone I had spoken with, to include technical operation of the Spark, and all of the purchase incentives. For instance, the day after we bought the car, he helped us with purchasing (from Bosch, Chevy doesn't sell them directly) the Power Max 240 volt charger with a $500 Chevy incentive. The resulting cost of the 240V charger is only $180 after the incentive, and charges the car 3X faster than plugging it into a standard 120V outlet (this is a big deal). While we were at the dealership, he patiently walked us through details to include charging, OnStar, Sirius XM, two free service visits, the 8 year/100000 mile powertrain/battery warranty, accessories, tire repair - pretty much anything we asked. We requested to plug the car in at the dealership before we finished the paperwork so we would have a full charge for the long drive home. Ken did this within seconds of the request. This level of service was provided while the dealership was really crowded. I highly recommend Ken and Criswell of Thurmont, it was the most pain-free and pleasant car buying experience imaginable, and we are thrilled with the car. More
