I went with my daughter to buy a new car and the prospect of driving 40 miles from Northern VA to Gaithersburg MD ever had the pleasure of meeting! Russell had spoken with my daughter the night before and had the car she was interested in ready and waiting for her to test drive. Peter in the finance department was awesome as well. He explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions and concerns and basically, made sure that my daughter got the best financing available to her. As we were getting ready to drive home in the new car, Russell walked us out and made sure that my daughter knew how to operate all of the features on her vehicle that were new to her. With these two gentlemen on their team, it's no wonder that Criswell is the award winning dealership that it is!! I wish every car transaction finished like this one. I was difficult to deal with in pricing, time availability, trade in and overall anxiety in dealership purchasing. You name it I had it yet, Mario stood by his assistance pledge and helped my family get the car we needed after having me refuse it the first time around. The car is in beautiful condition and much cleaner than any other car my wife and I looked at before purchasing at Criswell. Mario even helped after the sale when we need items back from the car we traded in, and was a positive influence in our decision to buy the car at Criswell. Mario was the deciding factor, as the dealership looked great and offered great opportunity for a used car but it all came down to the continued assistance of Mario despite our trepidation and anxiety in the are of finances. He worked with the finance department and came up with a win/win solutions for both parties and we are now the proud owner of a new car. We did end up going with a larger term finance but in the end my wife and i decided it was worth it even though we wanted 5 years and not 6. The internet price was agreeable and since we were able to work out program withe trade in, it was all worth it, even though it was a bit higher than budget. Mike wasted my time trying to justify $290 labor to install a GPS antenna. The 1st $160 labor bill (took a few minutes) was to tell me the antenna was broken. Then $130 labor to install. Russell Carter was the best salesperson I have ever worked with. I submitted an inquiry online about trading in my used car and he immediately reached out, despite it being after business hours. He then followed up the next morning, providing all information requested as well as pricing and photos. I was originally not looking forward to making the drive from Manassas to Gaithersburg, but after meeting and speaking with Russell, he made the trip worth it. He was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond my expectations for a new car purchase. Speaking with him was like speaking with a family member that I've known forever. He even had my 2021 trailblazer pulled up, running with the AC on so we wouldn't have to wait for it to cool off for the test drive. We were in and out of the dealership in less than 3 hours. My experience with Russell (and Peter and frankly the whole team at Criswell!) makes me want to buy a car every other week because it was such an enjoyable experience. I have already recommended this dealer and dealership to my entire family and will continue to recommend it to anyone I know that is looking for a new. Chris Morgan is one of those "Top Shelf" salesmen that knows what it means to accommodate all of the customers needs!
