Hello Mr. and Mrs. Hanes, I sincerely apologize if you felt uncomfortable with the diagnostic results provided to you on your CTS. We never want anyone to feel as though we are "taking advantage/scamming" or misrepresenting a service report. We were successful in having warranty cover a large portion of the repairs necessary to resolve your initial concerns. Our multipoint inspection did find items that, by Cadillac standards, would require "immediate attention". This report also showed the areas that are "OK" and areas that will need "future attention", again by the standards provided by Cadillac and GM for optimal performance of your vehicle. In regards to the age difference of the vehicles we have serviced...understandably, a 10-year old vehicle will generally require more maintenance than that of a 4-year old vehicle. We are in business to be fair and transparent and pride ourselves on communicating your vehicles condition as thoroughly as we can. Please understand this was the sole intent of our service techs and advisors. While we understand it can sometimes be unsettling to see what a vehicle diagnostic report might conclude, we are obligated to inform you of what is recommended and you are entitled to approve or decline any of the suggested maintenance/work. I am willing to see look into additional assistance from our dealership and work with you in alleviating some of the costs associated with the recommended maintenance, should you decide to move forward. As you know, up until this week, it's been a dry summer. The heat plays a huge part on wear and tear on our vehicles. We wouldn't have changed the wipers or done any work that would deteriorate the quality or shape of the wipers, however, in good faith, I will replace the wipers for you. I can mail them to you or you can come by our service drive and we will put them on for you. Please let me know what you prefer.

Mail them if you want. I have already replaced them since it was dangerous to drive with them in that state. If you wouldn’t have changed the wipers, then how did I leave your dealership with a different set than I went in with???

We collect tax, title and licensing based on the state you reside in and forward all funds via Dealer Doc, a third-party titling company that facilitates the registration for the vehicle purchased to the state in which it would be registered. I understand Texas requires dealers to charge tax and such however they charge around tax due to the fact that we have credit with a state. So then we have to go to state DMV to get our refund. But what is most irritating is that Crest Cadillac requires us to use a finance or credit company from Texas. We have our own bank that we deal with. So why they refuse to take a cashiers check for a vehicle is way beyond me. We have decided to go with another car dealer that is more sensible about these situations.
