2014 Focus Transmission Problem Recently traded my 2009 Focus (fantastic little car!) for a 2014 Focus SE. Right away, I noticed problems with the transmission trying to move throug Recently traded my 2009 Focus (fantastic little car!) for a 2014 Focus SE. Right away, I noticed problems with the transmission trying to move through the lower gears when accelerating from a stopped, or almost stopped, position. The car hesitates badly, then jerks, stutters, and sometimes grinds as it tries to go. The grinding noise sounds like cogs are being ground off of a gear, and I fear permanent damage is being done. (Less than 6,000 miles on the car!) Crescent has already "reprogrammed" the transmission, but it has not fixed the problem. The problem is getting worse. Now I m told that Ford has released a "new program" that will need to be installed, and if that doesn't work, I'll probably need a new clutch assembly, but that there is a "national backorder" on the clutch assemblies. Also, I'm told that Crescent can't even order a clutch assembly until a technician has experienced the problem and verified it with a computer. Obviously, I am simply fabricating the issue since I have nothing better to do than be without my car repeatedly and try to find alternative transportation to work in Greensboro. I just now read many on-line reviews of the 2014 Focus, and apparently this is a major problem with the transmission system used in Focus since 2012. The transmission issue is extremely dangerous in traffic and I am very concerned. ALSO, I got 37+mpg with my 2009 Focus, and I'm getting only 27-28 mpg highway with the 2014. I'll have to see if Ford and Crescent can remedy these problems soon, but as of now, I regret purchasing the 2014 Focus, and am disappointed with the current attitude of some of the Service Reps. This may be a "Ford" problem, but Crescent needs to take care of its customers better than this. More

David made our 17 year old son (did not purchase a vehicle for him) feel as though he had known David for many years. His approach to sales is different than I have ever experienced previously. His absolutely "no pressure" sales approach exudes a true sense that he cares for the customer and wants what is best for his customer. It speaks highly of a dealership when the service they provide is so exceptional, that I feel completely comfortable purchasing and servicing my cars there. Benny was so helpful and he did everything he could as he promised to help us get it. Most of them were pushy and demanding... even argumentative when I asked for a few minutes to orient myself on my arrival. When I told David that I wanted to look around for a few minutes first, he did exactly what I asked. He came back to me later to see if I needed help with anything and he really made me feel at home. He was so polite and informative. I was very pleased to do business with him. I went into the day feeling rather stressed due to a tight budget and a recent car accident; but by the end of the day I was enjoying myself and I was very happy to drive away in my Ford Fiesta that evening. Thank you for everything! More

She refused to give up, even though I gave her a difficult mission :) and she never insisted that I settled on what I wanted just because we couldn't find the right car immediately. I was pleased to meet Jeremy and Hap as well and they were all very nice and I felt no pressure to buy anything, but they gave me a great deal. Benny Linker, takes the cake and is an awesome, caring man who knows what he is doing! I appreciate that he was no nonsense and he did not pressure us into anything either. He is very sweet and I feel blessed to have met him through this process. Kim Cecil was great too for the financing piece of the process, no nonsense and no pressure, but professional and honest. You couldn't ask for more straight forward people than these dedicated staff at Cresent Ford. I appreciate the entire process and I am looking forward to trading in my car when that time arrives. I will be heading directly to Cresent Ford and as long as the experience continues to occur the way it did this, they will have a lifetime customer.
