The Courtesy automotive brand has been serving Phoenix customers since 1955. Courtesy Automotive in addition has a Chevrolet store in San Diego and a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram store in San Juan Capistrano in CA. This will be the first new store in Phoenix since 1955. Courtesy Automotive started in 1955 with the family member Ed Fitzgerald. Not long after that, William Gruwell joined the family and the business, and today leads the organization as President of Courtesy Automotive. He is joined by his two sons, Mark Gruwell, General Manager of Courtesy San Diego, Scott Gruwell General Manager of Courtesy Chevrolet in Phoenix and his son in law, Jason Church, who is the General Manager of the new Courtesy VOLVO of Scottsdale.
The Courtesy family has three generations of ownership and is excited to add the VOLVO brand to the Courtesy Group. With the amazing line up of new VOLVO products, and the Courtesy reputation of looking after our customers, we look forward to serving the Valley's VOLVO customers.
Construction started in January, 2017 and with a completed store ready to open in August 2017. The family is excited to offer a full line up of new VOLVO cars and SUVs serving the Scottsdale, Phoenix and Paradise Valley areas at first. Courtesy VOLVO of Scottsdale will offer a complete line up of Certified Used VOLVOs, as we have a heritage of supporting and promoting the benefits of a strong Certified program to our customers.

A+ Customer Service Customer service at it's finest. Simple as that. Let's face it buying a car is never fun. The process can be daunting and tiresome. I first called Customer service at it's finest. Simple as that. Let's face it buying a car is never fun. The process can be daunting and tiresome. I first called into the dealership and inquired about a test drive. I stopped in and test drove my car with Chris Jones. Who was both friendly and professional. I let him know that I wanted to continue shopping and would follow up. He said no problem and left me with his card. So last week on the 11th I stepped in ready to make a deal on a the vehicle. I worked with Ben Brown and Daniel Morgan. They really made the process streamlined. I did a 2nd test drive to solidify my decision and then continued on to finance. I cannot stress the transparency that Daniel provided and the re-assurance from Ben. Albeit I stepped in with financing just about set so everyone's situation maybe different. Nonetheless they really worked hard to earn my business. I was in and out within about 1 hour or so. I was surprised and appreciated their respect for time. The combination of the transparency, service, and streamlined process made this a great experience. I've purchased vehicles before. Both Ben and Daniel along with the rest of the staff at Courtesy Volvo showed me and proved to me that it could be better. Great customer service personified. Waiting I waited every step of the process. One service manager completed his paperwork in front of me rather than helping me before he assigned me to another I waited every step of the process. One service manager completed his paperwork in front of me rather than helping me before he assigned me to another service manager. When I picked up my car, my service manager was in a meeting. Although the people at the dealership kept looking for him and telling me he was almost there, I waited about 25-30 minutes while 3 other service managers (who didn't have customers - again - completing paperwork) didn’t have the common sense to help me. I feel there could be an improvement in their process if this is the standard. I intentionally came at slower times so I would not have to wait in a line behind other customers. Additionally, they could not fix my car. One problem is a known problem (I tried to google and fix it myself before I went in). I am not sure they even looked at that issue. Maybe they should call Volvo direct for guidance. The other problem they could not locate (car lurches after stopping), this same problem happened to my husband as he was driving my car the same night I got it back. I also asked them to clear the maintenance notice I have been getting since the last time I was in for maintenance (and they did not clear it), guess what- they didn’t clear it. Super frustrated with the service (or lack there of). The gentlemen moving my car around were all super nice. More

I arrived at 8:30pm (30 min before closing) and was shaking hands on a completed deal with finance by 9:30pm. Our price was negotiated rather quickly and I am happy with my outcome.
