Just bought a new Honda CRV and had excellent customer service from Ty, Lou & Robinson. These guys were all outstanding, very professional & very personable. I purchased a, so called, certified.pre-owned CRV from this dealership. The reason I say "so called, certified pre-owned" is because there were AT LEAST 10 of the 150 items on the checkl this dealership. The reason I say "so called, certified pre-owned" is because there were AT LEAST 10 of the 150 items on the checklist that were said to meet Honda standards that were DEFINITELY not. The first few problems are obvious as soon as I got on the highway to make may 3 hour drive home. The faulty hood latch being the first! I had to pull over and tie it down for fear of it flying up while driving 60 plus mph. Next was the rear differential, or possibly the driveshaft. As soon as I got up to about 65 mph the rear end of the car started shaking violently. I immediately pulled over, again, and called Marshall. His response was to find a place to stay for the night and come back to the dealership in the morning. Unfortunately I had no other choice being 300 miles from home. After hours of arguing with Doug he finally tells me to pick another car on the lot. So I find a civic that looks like a reasonable car, fill out the proper paperwork for it, and am about to take it home when I realize that the other key they are giving me is broken. I immediately bring it to Doug's attention and he tells me that he will personally take car of it. It's been almost 3 months and still hasn't taken care of it. This car is also a, so called, certified pre-owned vehicle that should not have passed the inspection the way it is. There are just as many problems with this car as there was the CRV, for example the driver side axle is bad, the battery had less than 200 cold cranking amps( 450 is minimum), if , when shifting gears, I take my hand off of the gear shifter while its in third gear, it pops out every time. All of these items were, just like the CRV, inspected and marked as "good" on the 150 point inspection. I have brought this to the dealership's attention the first day and everyday since then with zero action being taken. I have called the dealership numerous times and asked to speak with the general manager and I get the same response every time... "she is in a meeting, but I will have her call you as soon as she gets a chance." She has never called me back. All problems with the car set aside, I have been deliberately lied to by Doug (who is a manager), Robinson (who is the finance manager), and Ron ( who is a manager). Very unprofessional. I found out today that Robinson altered my loan so that I have to pay the registration for my car even though it clearly states in my contract that I was charged for tax, tag and title. Personally I think he did this to balance out the money he promised to reimburse for the new battery I had to buy. I urge anyone that is considering to buy a car from this lot to look at the 9 claims on the better business bureau's website that i found after the fact. If 2 separate cars slipped through the cracks of their inspections how many other cars have been overlooked? Once they have your money and signature they won't even give you the time of day. More
