While I have received quality service in the past, my last visit was a terrible experience. They first called me and an inept mechanic with poor communication skills tried to explain that they are experiencing problems while changing the oil on my Elantra, though I could not understand if my oil pan was stripped or if there was some other issues. After I made some inquiries, I found out that the drain plug was stripped of its threads (probably due to poor handling) and I agreed to have this “minor issue” fixed. The gentleman in Courtesy Hyundai in Pawtucket installed a new drain plug (and charged me over five dollars for it), overfilled my engine with oil to prevent my engine from seizing before I got home. The following morning, I found a puddle of oil underneath my car. After I confronted the maintenance manager three days later, after the weekend, I found that they will not take any responsibility for the botched job, explaining that the damage was done “somewhere else”. They even produced some used oil filter, claiming that it came from my car (3 days after, no less), though I know that that filter is used only in Honda vehicles (I’ve worked with foreign auto parts for the last six years). In good faith, I contacted the general manager of the dealership and I was switched to an individual named Eric, who claimed that he was the manager on duty that day. He promised to investigate my claim and to call me back. This took place about three days ago, and I never received a call. Not only have they damaged my car, they lied to me and tried to make a fool out of me. I will never go there again, and neither should you. More
