I’m 60yrs old and been buying cars for years. This has been the worst experience of my life. Dishonest. Watch for the bait and switch. Buyer beware! Make sure you look at everything carefully in daylight. been the worst experience of my life. Dishonest. Watch for the bait and switch. Buyer beware! Make sure you look at everything carefully in daylight. Read and question every inch of the contract. Don’t be fooled by kindness. Do your due diligence. That was my mistake. More
They screwed me I traded a vehicle in decemeber 2020 and they were supposed to be pay it off and here I am having to make two car payments because they have yet to pay off the vehicle that was traded in. I' they were supposed to be pay it off and here I am having to make two car payments because they have yet to pay off the vehicle that was traded in. I'd suggest finding another dealership before dealing with them More
What an unbelievable waste of time. My daughter went to the dealership because of course you MUST come in to get the deal we were promised on the phone. Apparently, if these people are to be believed the c the dealership because of course you MUST come in to get the deal we were promised on the phone. Apparently, if these people are to be believed the car was already sold or moved to another dealership at least five days ago.Of course, they were not sure for the first 90 minutes while you sit around wasting your time. The sales fella was new and clueless. The sales manager was very courteous and tried to be helpful by finding another car. As you might guess this vehicle was more than $1000 above what we had agreed on over the phone. So all in all a complete waste of time. Not a chance of ever going back there. More
2021 Kia Stinger GT1 purchase: First, I would like to say that Marlon Morris did a great job as our salesman. He was friendly and kept his composure throughout the entire process. However, his leadership has that Marlon Morris did a great job as our salesman. He was friendly and kept his composure throughout the entire process. However, his leadership has failed him. It is their job to ensure that each salesperson is knowledgeable and qualified to sell every Kia car on their lot. Secondly, communication is critical when more than one person is involved with the sale. The customer should not be receiving calls from various people from the dealership about the same issue...left hand needs to know what the right hand is doing. Its frustrating to the customer and embarrassing to the dealership...lacks professionalism. The salesman should be the POC until they hit finance.. Thirdly, integrity and ethics go a long ways. Customers do not like to be mislead or lied to. Once a verbal agreement is reached on the the sale and the program options, they should not be changed or taken away without communicating with and receiving approval from the customer. Fourth and final issue, Friendliness from the entire team regardless if the customer is being difficult...its their money and 5-7 years that they will be stuck with this deal good or bad. The old saying is that the customer is always right...not true but they should be treated as if they are and there are ways to do that while maintaining a good attitude, being friendly, and staying professional. As a current owner of several Mercedes, I guess we were a little spoiled by the level of professionalism, integrity, and quality personnel. Everyone from the Salesperson, Service Mgr, Finance Mgr, and GSM would make it a point to to come talk to you during this process. No one from Mercedes was rude or acted as if they were doing us a favor. A lot could be learned and should be if you are going to compete with a high end auto company. More
I went into the dealership a little before 5 with the intention of just window shopping. A very nice salesman named Trey greeted me just as I got out or my SUV. He brought me into the office and asked intention of just window shopping. A very nice salesman named Trey greeted me just as I got out or my SUV. He brought me into the office and asked me a few questions. I explained what I was looking for and what I didn't want. He listened and took some information down. He came back and said let's go take a look at some cars. The first car he showed me was everything I asked for. Less than an hour later I was driving off the lot with the best car I've ever had. The entire experience was great! Tray listened to me and got me exactly what I asked for. I COULD NOT ask for a better experience or salesman!! This was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had! Thanks Kia Courage and Trey Odom!!! More
Dishonest Dealership Aug 2019 - Kia of Gastonia employs dishonest and non-ethical methods to sell cars. My wife and called ahead and negotiated the final "out-the-door" Aug 2019 - Kia of Gastonia employs dishonest and non-ethical methods to sell cars. My wife and called ahead and negotiated the final "out-the-door" sales price of a new Telluride listed on their website. Because of our long drive, we wanted to ensure we knew what we would be spending. Shortly after we arrived the paperwork was presented with the same sales price we agreed to over the phone. Everything "seemed" to be in order. We then waited over an hour to finalize the sale with the “Finance Manager”. Once he finally sat down with us, he presented a hand-written cost work-up that was over $1000 more than what we agreed-to both over the phone and when we first arrived. Disgusted and weary, we left extremely disappointed. These are dishonest people who feel no shame for leading people on and wasting significant amount of customers' time. Avoid at all costs. More

Not because they were pressuring or pushing, they were anything BUT that. But because they were really going to the mat to give me a deal on the van I had and still owed on and the van they had that was a year older, less miles, more stuff. They listened when I explained about how I was not going to buy a car. I have a tight budget and am really pushing to get out of debt, all the while we were having great conversations and laughing and having a good time. When they came back with numbers that I could live with, well, I could not refuse. I had no money to put down (because I didn't come prepared to buy a car) and did not want the new payment higher than my old payment (but it did go up but within my comfort zone) and guess what!! They delivered!! My sales guy, Vic, was extremely knowledgeable about the two vehicles I drove. So much so that I was quite surprised. He out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and that this was what I wanted. We had used their service department in the past and had been pleased and now I am pleased with the sales folks too! Since we were stuck here I had called other dealerships for the part in which the KIA should have done to source the part. I found multiple other KIA dealers with the part and they were all cheaper than this dealership was going to charger me for it. On top of this I found that the fuse inside the Safety Plug could be order and was only a $25 fuse (priced at another dealer) and not the entire safety plug they told us we need to replaced. They is a bulletin from KIA stating this for the vehicle. FROM KIA itself!!!! I will never trust this place with any vehicle. We brought our vehicle here for this expert KIA service and got shade tree mechanic, part changer service. More

I just wish they were more upfront and explained the paperwork thoroughly so the customer will understand what they are signing. This would be my second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership. You will still be there 4 to 6 hours before you even get in the room to sign your contract. They need to streamline this process and I think they need more than 2 finance managers there on busy days. Overall they are okay. Would I recommend someone to buy from them? Maybe, but I would stress to them read, read, read their contract because the dealer is not going to explain it to you. Update: So I went back to the dealership to cancel a warranty service contract that I purchased and didn't need at the time. The financial manager said that he would send it in to the warranty company and never did. It has been over 2 months and I have been keeping an eye on my loan to see if the amount would drop so I called the warranty company and they said that they haven't received the proper paperwork from the dealership. So I have to do it. I have dropped my rating because of this. I am learning to never put my trust in a dealership in doing what they say they are going to do. I know if I did this same exact thing at my company I would be put on probation or terminated. Anyway, what is done is done. Lesson learned. Update (7/7/2018): I contacted this dealership because I am still waiting on my refund to go back to my loan holder from the Vehicle Warranty I cancelled from Fidelity Warranty Services. The money was sent to Kia of Gastonia in May it is now July and nothing has been done. This is the worst customer experience I have ever faced ever. The dealership doesn't do what they are supposed to do and I guess expects the customer to do their job for them. Never again am I buying from the dealership if this is what I have to go through with them. And here I gave them 4-1/2 stars initially. They are a 1-star now. Please send the refund back that you received from the Warranty company. I don't want to have to take any other steps to resolve this issue. I am giving you guys a chance here. More
Terrible experience They advertise "ALL NEW KIA of GAstonia" Nothing can be further from the truth. First the facility is old dirty and cramped unlike other Kia dealer They advertise "ALL NEW KIA of GAstonia" Nothing can be further from the truth. First the facility is old dirty and cramped unlike other Kia dealers in the area. Secondly and more importantly, They tell you they will honor their advertised prices over the phone just to get you down there then when you arrive they try to steer you (or at least me) into a shady lease after telling me the advertised online prices are for leases only. So after 6 hours in their, thankfully the finance man Larry was honest and the deal was cancelled when KIA didn't want to give me the lease deal that THEY had proposed. I have purchased over 25 cars in the past 10 years and this was by far the worst experience of all. More
