I was constantly bragging about it to friends and family and online as well. We bought our Kia here and all had been amazing until now. I was involved in a car accident this past January and this location doesn't do body work which was fine. We got it fixed up somewhere else, but we had an issue with gas getting into the engine the day we got it back. This was one month ago, and Coughlin Kia has had my car since and we are absolutely through with this location. The supervisor in the service department has done well with putting up with us and hearing our frustrations, kudos to him, however every time we have called for an update (they have not once tried updating us themselves through this whole shebang), we've been given a different story every time. The part is in, the car is almost done, the part just arrived, i don't know what is going on with your car... The list goes on. They found a whole other issue other than what's going on and that's finally fixed. We were told the car would be done in 2 days time... a WEEK ago. The tech has been out since Saturday to finish fixing it, and they can't get anyone else to do work on it in the shop. I completely understand they're busy and behind as it is, but when we have been told they prioritize the cars that have been there the longest, which is OUR car, and nothing is being done... I feel like a "Karen" because we are beyond frustrated at this point. We had to break down and buy a 2nd vehicle (we've been without our car for 3 months now) because we've been borrowing from family. We were hoping for a discount of any kind after the issues that we've had here, and they wouldn't budge so my husband completely walked away and we are through with Kia after our car is back. After a day of car shopping we thankfully found an amazing car in Canal Winchester at Jeff Wyler. All locations we shopped at yesterday heard our story and tried giving us deals on the vehicles we were interested in. I'm forever grateful for others trying to help fix a problem they had nothing to do with and sympathizing so sincerely. More

Sales experience was okay, only took six hours to lease a car. Salesman sold me lease for a 2020 Sorento but stated the lease I entered into was the only lease deal available and claimed I could only get a car. Salesman sold me lease for a 2020 Sorento but stated the lease I entered into was the only lease deal available and claimed I could only get a maximum lease mileage of 12,000 miles a year. Received $6k trade allowance but my $6k only dropped the monthly payment $74. This lease was a zero down $279 lease and I put $6k in trade equity down towards the lease. Told me if I needed anything or help with service to give him a shout. Empty promise when I had service department issues. I stopped in on 3/19/22 to looks at a K5 to trade out the Sorento lease for a new smaller sedan. I decided to not drive the K5 as the price was higher than buying a new K5. I was almost to the car when Doug stopped me to apologize for being busy. I told him no worries, the other sales person just Ed wanted my information from him to save time getting the test drive documentation. I didn’t feel like doing a test drive with a sales person, it makes me feel uncomfortable and rushed, sometimes pressed to make a purchase. Doug was angered about a comment I made about my last transaction with him and that he wasn’t entirely honest or knowledgeable about lease deals and he said I offended him. He told me he was the “Most honest person there”, and then told me to leave and , “ Take my business elsewhere”. As to the reason I was looking to buy or lease a another car is because the Service department never rotated tires as requested resulting in uneven wear on the tires. When I first brought it to Todd Fox he said his technicians could not hear or replicate the sound/noise and vibrations coming from the tires. The Sorento had just over 14500 miles at the time(mid July 2021). I took a 150 mile road trip a few days later and the tire nose and vibration during the whole trip was unbearable. I made an appointment to have a tire balance and rotation, as well as, a four wheel alignment performed. The acting service manager Kim wanted to know if they could diagnose the issue before I spent the money on the requested tire service and I agreed. Two hours later I was told there was no problem with the tires, the technician could not hear any tire issues or feel a vibration. I marked the tires after the second oil change because the tires were not being rotated as request every time the Sorento was brought in for required oil changes. I brought the Sorento in a second time after no one returned multiple phone calls left on Todd Fox’s voicemail for weeks to set a second appointment to have the tire issues taken care of. When I finally took Mark the service advisor for a ride so he could experience what I was complaining about, during the ride he agreed something was wrong and had the tires inspected. Again no tire balance or rotation just a tire inspection. The diagnosis went from no issues could be found to all four tires need to be replaced at my expense with a promise that I might get a prorated refund. Austin the service advisor told me the tires were cupped and chopped, but the tires show no evidence of either. Austin was instructed by Todd Fox to “Sell this guy some tires”. I don’t think it is a sound practice to be telling a leasee that they need to buy new tires for a new car with less than 15,000 miles. The tire manufacturer was contacted and I was given a claim number which I provided to Austin which provided for Kumho Tire sending replacement tires. Weeks went by and nothing happened. When I called to follow up with several people to include upper management and complain the only action taken was a telephone call from Todd Fox telling me I needed to buy new tires. Today I followed Doug’s advice and took my business elsewhere. I sold the 2020 leased Sorento and switched brands. I will never buy or lease a KIA or Hyundai product ever again. I can’t buy a product that won’t be properly repaired or maintained due to ignorance, laziness or greed. More
