PROS: Had the exact Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LTZ trim w/ 3.0L Duramax in Northsky Blue Metallic I was searching for. Sales rep, Harold Solano, was a true pleasure to work with--hel 1500 Crew Cab LTZ trim w/ 3.0L Duramax in Northsky Blue Metallic I was searching for. Sales rep, Harold Solano, was a true pleasure to work with--helpful, no pressure, easy negotiation, great communication. Comfortable waiting area, where I spent almost 90 mins waiting for finance. CONS: Tires were prefilled with nitrogen with $150 fixed dealership charge--I don't want/need nitrogen but what can I do, request that they empty & refill with air? Ikon vehicle tracker system installed by dealership due to theft in the area, not removed and purchase cost passed on the buyer; I was advised by sales that it is a one time lifetime service cost, but in finance I asked and was told that it is for a two year service subscription. Again, not happy with this being applied and presented as non-negotiable, as well as initially misrepresented. Truck had 29.8K miles at purchase, and came from Arizona desert; CPO Inspection & Reconditioning report states that the only maintenance performed by the dealership was an engine oil & filter change; fuel filter service schedule is 30k but was not serviced. Report also states Battery Voltage reading as "12V" with no service required or completed; 12.0V is a 45-50% state of charge...100% state of charge is 13.0V for AGM, 12.6V+ for sealed lead acid. I've tested the battery multipe times since and it is typically between 12.7-12.8V, so I'm satisfied that it won't leave me stranded, but the tech that performed/completed this inspection, as well as the Service mgr and used vehicle mgr need to pay attention to the service they are providing and approving. I'm a California buyer that paid cash (including their purchase of my vehicle) but dealership withheld sales tax and title, requiring me to forward completed Cal DMV documentation before forwarding the tax and title to Cal DMV--purchased vehicle Jan 2, now Feb 27 and still don't have plates, registration nor title in my possession. This is a slow and cumbersome process that unnecessarily burdens the buyer. Last note, I was presented and signed the CPO Inspection & Reconditioning Report by the sales rep, but some how the this document did not get placed in the envelope with the rest of the documentation. I found this error on Feb 9 when I went to review service records. I contacted the dealership on that date and have had to contact them weekly for an update since. I finally received it today, after the matter was escalated to the Finance Mgr by my sales rep, Harold Solano. A special thanks to Harold Solano for his overall assistance and great communication throughout this purchase. Also, my thanks to the Finance Mgr, Sterling Smith, who was able to retrieve and forward the CPO document in one day! More
