Mr. Cortese has no right speaking for me or my two son-in-laws. We were NOT satisfied with the treatment given by Mr. Cortese himself!! Mr. Fredricks was very helpful and kind and when I spoke to him last I was pleased with what he was saying. However, Mr. Cortese called me and told me I needed to change what I wrote on here. I stand behind the facts! I was told the shocks SHOULD leak, that all Ford ignitions need to be jiggled to get started, that because I had more experienced mechanics looking the car over that they noticed more than the average customer would notice or complain about. Mr. Cortese repeatedly told my son-in-law that I needed to change what was on here because Mr. Cortese "can't go out to a restaurant with this kind of a review because people tend to believe what they read on the internet!" If Mr. Cortese wanted a better review he shouldn't have called me to insult me and the vehicle I just purchased from him. If it was not ready to be sold it shouldn't have been sold...least of all to an older woman with a handicap! They had the Escape more than I did for the first three weeks I owned it and at no time did they even offer me a loaner car for the times they had the Escape in the shop for repairs. I do not appreciate anyone speaking for me and neither do either of my FORD mechanic sons-in-law! I maintain that I do NOT recommend Cortese. I DO have great regard for both the gentleman that assisted my son-in-law, Scott, (I apologize for not remembering his name!) and also for Mr. Fredricks who was very kind to me over the phone. As for the rest of the team at Cortese...I will never buy from them again or recommend them to my frinds or family. Ford Motor Corp. should be ashamed that they were represented this way!
