Sales process reasonably satisfactory but followup atrocious Purchased Hyundai Equus on Aug. 1, 2015, and because used car mgr. Chuck Butler, resolved issues on that date, I wrote a positive testimonial about him and Conicelli dealership. After that date, I learned that my vehicle with 71 miles on odometer could not be registered in Md. where I reside without a safety inspection certificate although title rep took all fees from me and stating registration would be done promptly in md. I received temporary tags that expired on Sept. 1st. Despite my frantic calls to title representatives, E-mails to Chuck Butler and lengthy phone message to owner, Dominic Conicelli, Jr. no one responded. I called owner again, asking on phone message whether he got my lengthy message, he replying that he did but was busy with meetings. Incredible! He said Richard Hauk would call but when I returned his call, not uncharacteristicly, he ignored my call. As of this writing, there have been no apologies for what is certain. I will receive new tags after my temporary paper tags expired. If owner did not attempt to make things right and apologize for multiple failures of replies and for employee incompetence, why should anyone deal with the Conicelli organization. Another excellent experience with Service section - Asst. Service Mgr. Bob Calhoun consistently pro-active with my car's needs and explains everything to my satisfaction. He is with Service section - Asst. Service Mgr. Bob Calhoun consistently pro-active with my car's needs and explains everything to my satisfaction. He is always able to estimate within tight parameters how long the service experience will take, and the technical people meet the mark every time. Jacob Dank was great! I was a long-time Toyota owner but new to Conicelli. I was put in touch with Jacob after seeing an online add for a leftover 2014 Venza. The dealer experience and Jacob's personal approach was unique and better than other dealerships I had worked with previously. I believe Conicelli's status as a perennial volume dealership takes the pressure off BOTH sides to quickly agree on a very fair deal. Coupled with Jacob's professional approach and thoroughness, before and after the sale, ultimately made for a great new car buying experience for me. More

Perhaps it was Just the Car All the people with whom we dealt were friendly, wonderful people. The reasons for my rating are: 1. When we test drove the car, there were no mile All the people with whom we dealt were friendly, wonderful people. The reasons for my rating are: 1. When we test drove the car, there were no miles left in the battery. Since it's a Chevy Volt, an all-electric car with a backup gas generator, those who test drive it would probably not want to hear a gas motor running. Charging the battery first would seem like an obvious thing to do. 2. When giving us reasons to purchase the extended warranty, it was suggested that, since it's a Volt, it REALLY needs the extra protection, since there's so much that can go wrong with it. From all the extensive research I've done on that car over the past year, the opposite seems to be true. They suggested we look at another car. 3. The paperwork wasn't ready when we went in to make the purchase, and our co-signer, who has experience purchasing other vehicles, was amazed at how long it took. 4. Near the end of the process, we were told that it doesn't have a charger, and one would be mailed to us (we live an hour away from the dealership). It's been almost a week and we're still waiting for it to arrive. When I called to verify it had been mailed, I was told, "Yep, you should get it soon." A tracking number would have been nice, and since it's an electric car, actually having the charger already with the car when we purchased it would have been nicer. Points go to the gentleman who completed all the paperwork. Very quick, professional, and efficient. If there were any other places that had the car we wanted (and year, due to price), we wouldn't have purchased it here. If they read this, I hope it can serve as some useful feedback. More
