This was my first purchase of a Volkswagen. I purchased a VW Beetle Convertible, looking for a fun ride. That is just what Jeff Mercedes delivered. He was so great to deal with and so personable. He worked out a 3-year lease payment that I could afford and then went over all of the great features of the convertible. Then he gave me a tour of Commonwealth and I already have booked my first service visit at no charge to me. I was laughing with Jeff during the process of going over the features of the convertible, asking who buys convertibles in November. People who decide they want some fun in their life. I knew I had made the right vehicle choice when Jeff started singing "Rockstar" at the top of his lungs when he was teaching me how to use the Fender music system!!! Yes this is going to be a fun car and Commonwealth made it happen! Thank you so much! More
I emailed about ten dealerships that I found online asking if any of them could help me to find what I wanted. the only criteria I said was a must was I wanted to put zero down and only pay $150/less a asking if any of them could help me to find what I wanted. the only criteria I said was a must was I wanted to put zero down and only pay $150/less a month, the brand, model, type of car did not matter, because it was strictly a second car that would be driven very seldom. I also said I did not care if it was a lease or a purchase. I am certain I made myself VERY clear of exactly what I wanted in my email. Of the ten dealerships I emailed ALL of them responded saying this was absolutely something they could do. I made appointments at the closest ones for last Saturday, and that morning I went to 4 different dealerships. I started in Tewksbury at Auto fair Nissan. My experience there was awful to say the least. First of all the person I had spoken to and scheduled the appointment with was not even at the dealership on Saturdays. I had to explain what I was looking for again and give the new sales rep all my info again. After waiting almost 45 minutes he came back offering to lease me a 2014 nissan versa (lowest model) for $3,995 down and $285/month- which was absolutely not any where close to what I had asked for. The sales rep was brand new and had no clue what he was talking about. He told me it costs about the same amount of money to lease or buy a car, and he also told me not to believe any of the ads I see online from dealerships offering low monthly payments and zero down- he told me in his exact words "Those ads are just lies to get business." After that statement I decided it was best to leave that dealership and never go back. the next two dealerships were not as awful as Autofair however both of those dealerships also lost my information, did not know I was coming and neither one could offer me anything in the price range I specified over email. After the third utter disappointment I almost canceled my appointment at commonwealth but I figured I would go to one more that day. i am do happy I did. Immediately upon walking in I knew my experience there was going to be different. First they did have an appointment scheduled for me and I actually met the person I had talked to the week before. She already knew what I wanted/needed so we did not have to waste any time doing that over again. My appointment was with Paula and immediately upon walking in she introduced me to eric beardman, the sales rep that would help me. He was great. He knew what I wanted and he didn't try to up-sell me or talk me into spending more money. He was honest and direct and I trusted him instantly. I have worked in sales my whole life so when I am approached by a typical sales rep with the usual banter I can instantly see thru it and it only makes me irritated. Eric did not do that. He was an excellent sales rep. I ended up getting the first car he showed me which was a volkswagen jetta for zero down and under $150/month- JUST WHAT I ASKED FOR!! and we were done with the whole deal in under 30 minutes. I was so happy and I also wished I had started at commonwealth instead of wasting hours at all the other dealerships that should have been honest from the beginning and told me that they could not meet my requirements. Bottom line is commonwealth got a new permanent customer and I now have a dealership that will be the only place that my family and I buy our cars. Trust me- check out commonwealth before any one else- Im living proof that no one can beat their prices, specials, sales or customer service. THEY ARE THE BEST!!! More

We had to have the 50,000 mile service done on my husband's 2010 VW Jetta Sportwagen. Commonwealth was very accommodating with being available for an early drop off for our appointment. They kept i husband's 2010 VW Jetta Sportwagen. Commonwealth was very accommodating with being available for an early drop off for our appointment. They kept in touch with as they found things that should be fixed in order to safely pass inspection. While we had not counted on the extent of our bill, it was very reassuring knowing that Commonwealth was doing everything it could to be sure that our car was safe and running well.
