Ok, I have had a bad experience with Honda of Westport many years ago, a horrible experience with Acura of Norwalk, and then I decided to try full-on Ok, I have had a bad experience with Honda of Westport many years ago, a horrible experience with Acura of Norwalk, and then I decided to try full-on masochism, and I bought a diesel VW. Let me take this airtime to say do not buy a VW and avoid Curran VW of Stratford. Ok, done with the negativity. My impression of Colonial Toyota of Milford is that the salespeople there are happily reaping the benefits of a good car. My salesman, first initial 'S', was super pleasant, friendly, perceptive, conscientious, and NOT pushy. Unlike most car salesmen, he literally never tried to B.S. me even once! He got me out the door with a new Prius, which, for those of you who don't know, has a LOT of electronic bells and whistles. He clearly knew them all. He reached over and programmed some basic functions into the car's computers very quickly, and showed me the basic operation of the car patiently and politely. I drove the car very timidly at first, because it was so different from what I'm used to. He remained patient and friendly throughout. He was crystal clear on what I needed to do to complete the deal. The dealership in general seemed extremely well-run and the general sales manager came over several times and asked if everything was going ok (it was). Now, this is only my second visit to a Toyota dealer, but if it keeps up like this I will have to insist you buy a car from them. I am thinking of selling dartboards with a VW logo at the center. He let the car sell itself and let me make up my mind without feeling pressured. He spent a great deal of time with me and never made me feel that I was encroaching on his personal time.
