DEALERxxxx I had an appointment with FRED ARTMAN at 5:30 one evening. My husband and I got there at around 5:15/5:20 and he was working with another customer. The sales manager greeted us and started gathering information about what we wanted in a car. He showed us a few different things and then took us to the showroom to let us look around. He left us alone just looking at cars, never explained anything about the cars to us, not showing us special features or anything. We ended up sitting at some random desk just waiting. Eventually Fred showed up and asked what we wanted to test drive and we said the forester. He found keys to one and brought me to it to test drive. He did not come with me on the test drive, I am not familiar with the Danbury area. He rattled off two streets to turn on to get back to the dealership. He never explained anything about the car. When I got back to the dealership I had to find Fred to ask if it was ok for my husband to test drive it next. He said fine, also not telling him anything about the car. My husband test drove it and came back. Fred was with A DIFFERENT COUPLE at his desk. We were completely ignored and we were trying to drop 30k on a new car. We sat there for almost 2 hours and we were never given prices or had numbers run, never explained anything about the cars or which one would be good for us. Not offered a cup of coffee. Avoid this dealerxxxx at all costs. I will not be back and I stopped at Brewster Subaru on the way home where I was greeted, had numbers run, and scheduled another appointment in all of 10 minutes. People get annoyed when salespeople are too pushy.. I would have appreciated a bit of push. At least acknowledge my presence in your dealership. 2 hours wasted and I still don’t know anything about any of the cars. More
Extraordinarily Smooth and Helpful Process My husband and I, moving from NYC, needed to lease a car and close on our house on the same day. It was a lot to do, and Carlo at Colonial Subaru had us in and out in no time flat. Carlo went out of his way to help us complete the paperwork and apply for financing before we even walked into the dealership to save time. The entire process was smooth and easy, and we were able to close on the house and drive off the lot with a new car in the same day. Delivery Specialist Chris Souza gave us a tutorial on all the bells and whistles of the car, synced our phones, and answered all of our questions. We are very grateful. More

He worked extremely hard to get us the car with the options we wanted in our car. Nick in finance is about as nice of a guy as their comes. Even though the dealership was one of the busiest we've seen, they took care of us. We are looking forward to a long relationship with Colonial. Bravo. More

Carlo and Kayla the finance manager were very good and super helpful. Would work with Carlo again the next time we are looking for a car. ????? More

You snooze, you lose. Bought it elsewhere. Went to Colonial knowing what package we wanted on our Forester. Guy wouldn't even work with us, wouldn't give us any prices. We said we also had a trade in - he wasn't interested and didn't even have anyone look at our vehicle to trade. Totally baffled why he just didn't seem to care to make a sale. We left bewildered, and he didn't even offer his business card. Seemed to be very poor sales. Waste of time. We wound up having a completely opposite experience down the road at Brewster Subaru and can't recommend them highly enough! We ultimately made our purchase with Brewster. More

So I sent an email to the internet sales people. After 2 emails i straight up said "I'm looking for a fast purchase"... after a couple days of getting nowhere with colonial Subaru I called Brewster Subaru who found me a car and sold it to me within 6 hours... all over the phone and internet until pickup day. My wife's experience here was brutal too - this guy Peter could have at least faked the idea that he was interested in selling her a car. He was a bit rude and we were shocked actually Between the two dealerships- It was like night and day to he honest. More
