Did a great job & no surprises. A neighbor of mine is on her 3rd Subaru and said Colonial is an excellent dealership. So far she is correct. I felt like Dean DeMott, the salesman, went above and beyond to ensure that I ended up in the right car for who I am as a person. If his name was on the drop down list, I would give him a 10 rating as I would definitely recommend him. Ryan Jowdy was also very helpful at ensuring I knew how to use all the features of my new car. It was an amazing buying experience, and I look forward to returning to the dealership for any future purchases. More

She wanted a all wheel drive car, but not an SUV as her las We recently purchased our first Subaru. A 2016 fully loaded Impreza which is for my wife. She wanted a all wheel drive car, but not an SUV as her last can was an Audi A4 with all wheel drive. This is a beautiful car which my wife really loves. We were recommended to go to Colonial Subaru by our very good friends as they have purchased several cars from them including a 2015 Impreza and a 2016 Forester. The sales representative from Colonial was Christer Cambriello who was also recommended to us and all I can say is he was very knowledgeable and a great person to deal with. He spent several hours with my wife and I going over the features in the car which was a great help. I highly recommend Colonial and especially Christer. Quite awful, disrespectful and not very knowledgeable. This is my second visit to Colonial Subaru in Danbury. Both visits I was in the market for a new car and both visits I ended up going with another man This is my second visit to Colonial Subaru in Danbury. Both visits I was in the market for a new car and both visits I ended up going with another manufacturer because of the poor experiences at Colonial. This latest time, my lease was up on my Mitsubishi Lancer AWD and wanted to test drive a Legacy as it was the first one on my list. Let me stop here actually and preface this by saying I am 26, Poduct Manager with excellent credit. I bring this up (even though I shouldn't have to) because for some reason I think the salesman knowing that would have helped my situation. Anyway, a salesman comes up to me asking what it was that I was looking for. When I mentioned a Legacy he immediately shot me down saying that car was too expensive for me, and it wasn't a young person's car. I proceeded to tell him that I've done a lot of research and its the number one car on my list. Legacy's are very affordable, it's not like they're some super high end luxury car. He continued to refuse to let me even talk about a legacy because the Impreza just made that much more sense for a person like me. He was very rude the whole time and constantly seemed like I was wasting his time. I explained to him that I'm not worried about the payment of the Legacy and to please let me see it and hopefully test drive one. He never did. I then leveled with him just to see ANYTHING, I asked about Subaru's on the Premium Packages and whatnot and of course he seemed really confused. It was like I was teaching him. I mean come on, these days salesman should really know their stuff, everything is on the internet, they really should not be outsmarted by customers! Overall, rude customer service, pushy for all the wrong reasons, judgmental and unprofessional. BTW, I drive an AWD lancer now because I had a similar experience 3 years ago with the older Legacy. Needless to say, this time I got a Ford Fusion AWD for a much better Deal. Young professionals beware! More
Great Internet Purchase I had gone through the internet to locate a dealer. Chris was the first person to respond to my email. He asked about the features I was looking for I had gone through the internet to locate a dealer. Chris was the first person to respond to my email. He asked about the features I was looking for so to provide an accurate price and encouraged me to come by the dealership to test drive the cars I was interested in. First, the dealership is great. Nice waiting area - big and clean. The service center looked brand new with a lot of activity. I even visited the parts department to see how the service was. Too bad I live too far away to take advantage of Colonial's service and facilities. Chris provided just the facts on the cars and what the price would, He was not pushy or tried to talk me into getting unneeded options. Chris was friendly and had great follow up ... he did what he said he would do to order the car and kept me informed at each milestone of the delivery process. Chris also knew a lot about the cars that I was interested in (I could not decide between a Forester or an Outback at first). He told me what he liked about each and what he did not like ....It was just like getting to a car review from a third party. One thing for sure, Chris is excited about Subaru vehicles! Thanks for making car purchase an enjoyable experience. More
